24.01.2022 In celebration of International Day of People with Disability - Australia on Dec 3, Zoyie Lee Newham a budding artist from Young, NSW who lives with an intellectual disability met with local member Steph Cooke MP to showcase some of her incredible artwork. Zoyie paints and illustrates in her spare time, with her art displayed in local galleries, and also entered in numerous art competitions around NSW. Zoyie hasn’t allowed her disability to become a barrier in her career path either; She works two jobs - as a cleaner for JCAL’s local offices and also for a local childcare centre. Zoyie’s employment not only adds immense value to her life by giving her a sense of purpose and teaching her new skills - it also helps fund her art. Please join us in congratulating Zoyie on all her amazing achievements! #IDPWD #DisableStereotypes
