24.01.2022 'The Rainbow Connection' - 20x20cm Oil on Canvas. On show at @redinkrodeo 2020 Art Show in Caloundra. Named due to the green and the island reminding me of the start of Kermit the Frog's film clip to his song. But coincidently, or maybe synchronicity, I unexpectedly found myself flying over the Whitsundays Islands five days later enjoying a similar view. The Rainbow Connection:... Why are there so many songs about rainbows And what's on the other side? Rainbows are visions, but only illusions And rainbows have nothing to hide So we've been told, and some choose to believe it I know they're wrong, wait and see Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection The lovers, the dreamers, and me Who said that every wish would be heard and answered When wished on the morning star? Somebody thought of that, and someone believed it Look what it's done so far What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing And what do we think we might see? Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection The lovers, the dreamers, and me All of us under its spell We know that it's probably magic Have you been half asleep, and have you heard voices? I've heard them calling my name Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors? The voice might be one and the same I've heard it too many times to ignore it It's something that I'm supposed to be Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection The lovers, the dreamers, and me La-da-da-de-da-da-do La-da-da-da-da-de-da-do'

15.01.2022 Original painting 'Marcoola Mist" 90cm x 80cm oil on stretched canvas. FOR SALE, messege me or available on #bluethumb https://bluethumb.com.au/joburtart/Artwork/marcoola-mist I've been sitting on this one for a while not happy with the colours, until I recently added some warm tones into the sky and wash of blue to the water. It's the subtle touchess that can make a big difference.

04.01.2022 'Cloudy Day, Sunny Disposition' Oil on Canvas, 900x700mm I've revisited this piece since completing in 2019 to add a little extra sparkle and detail. Still calm and moody, but now with a glint of sunlight and a little extra depth. On display at Kawana Library during August.
