25.01.2022 This grain free pizza recipe has been floating around the internet in various forms for some time now. I'm not sure who created it, a big thank you to the mystery chef! The ingredients for the base may look bizarre but the result is surprisingly good. http://www.nutritionmeans.com.au/recipes/grain-free-pizza

25.01.2022 Jodie shows how NuMe Online works

21.01.2022 Summer fruit is coming soon, but if peaches aren't out yet, apple or pear also works. This recipe is low in sugar and high in nutrition, making it OK for a quick breakfast. http://www.nutritionmeans.com.au/recipes/peach-berry-muffins

21.01.2022 Finally, avocados are in season again... abundance on the kitchen bench!! Rich in folate, fibre, glutathione and good fats. Lemon juice and cracked pepper bring out it's delicate flavor and beetroot creates a visually appealing contrast... http://www.nutritionmeans.com.au//avocado-and-beetroot-sal

16.01.2022 Home grown celery with plump, juicy stalks? Yes please!! I'm hoping these tubes I've made from used protein powder containers will do the trick. Celery tends to sprawl out and grow like parsley without some support. I found some plastic mesh in the shed and fixed it to the bottom of the tube (with recycled twist-ties) to allow ventilation at the base. Finger crossed and I'll have some nice bunches in a few months :)... What ideas do you have to 'up-cycle' waste materials?

15.01.2022 If there's one fruit worth growing, it's the blueberry bush...

15.01.2022 Winter is Coming... so time to think about Vitamin D. We know it's essential for bone health, but did you know it's also important for managing diabetes, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune conditions and other chronic illnesses. 14.01.2022 Somehow, mint has crept into (taken over) the veggie patch! so we're making the most of it with 'mint pesto' - just replace half the basil with mint in this recipe... http://www.nutritionmeans.com.au/recipes/pesto

14.01.2022 Oh, for good nights sleep! When feeling rested and refreshed eludes you, there are solutions ... http://www.nutritionmeans.com.au/blog/purrfect-sleep

11.01.2022 For a quick, tasty, nutritious dinner, chicken kebabs are a winner - just add peanut sauce and rice, or steamed green veggies if you are wanting to keep the carbs down. Make a big batch ahead of time and cook them for dinner. Any leftovers are great for lunch the next day. http://www.nutritionmeans.com.au/recipes/chicken-kebabs

10.01.2022 Protein powders are not everyones thing, but if you don't mind drinking your meal sometimes, then a nutritious shake can go a long way when time is limited. Remember though, it needs to be a PROTEIN powder, not a SUGAR powder - you want room to add your own healthy sugar from some fruit, not have it already laced with various forms of processed sugars. The recipe below has more info on choosing a good protein powder. http://www.nutritionmeans.com.au/recipes/berry-protein-shake

08.01.2022 This month we look at the impact of nutrition on ageing and how to slow the process.

06.01.2022 With only a few days to go before New Years, the focus on how to make 2017 your best year begins! I'll be kicking it off with a NuMe Detox Program - great food, key herbal formulations and specific nutrients to liven up my cells and clear away the dross... http://www.nutritionmeans.com.au/join-nume/nume-detox

05.01.2022 Great for their fresh eggs, chickens also help you grow nutrient rich veggies via composting their poo! A tumbling composter lets you add in kitchen scraps without attracting vermin.

03.01.2022 Sarsaparilla, Devil's Claw, Wormwood, Cat's Claw... Not the kind of herbs you'd brew into a tea! but they are powerful Herbal Medicines for those suffering from Autoimmune Conditions. If someone close to you suffers from an AI condition, you'll know the anguish they can cause. Relief can be possible though; herbal medicines, probiotics and nutrition can relieve symptoms and restore balance to the immune system. Read more about Jodie's treatment protocols...... http://www.nutritionmeans.com.au/heal/autoimmune-conditions

03.01.2022 Kumquats!! This potted tree has been fruiting for eight years now. Worm castings and citrus food keeps it healthy and producing well. I've revamped a favourite biscuit recipe with zest from kumquats, but orange zest works just as well http://www.nutritionmeans.com.au/recipes/date-cookies

03.01.2022 I love it when work mates share around their garden produce... a bag of oranges was the inspiration for this classic winter cake. Gluten free and packed with nutrition, it's one of my favourites http://www.nutritionmeans.com.au/rec/orange-and-almond-cake
