Parents and carers can make a big difference in small ways by improving their own knowledge and using supportive approaches. For women our pelvic floors go through so much in our lifetime, from periods, to sex, to childbirth, exercise, menopause etc. When was the last time you had your pelvic floor checked? When was the last time you worked with a HCP that specialisies in Pelvic Floor Health? Do you know anything about pelvic floor health? Do you have incontience or pain? 25.01.2022 This is a project I am just starting some research on and I would really appreciate your help. The Menopause Project is looking at Australian Women's experience of Menopause. It is looking to find about your experience with perimenopause & menopause. No matter your age. This project is led by myself, Jodie West. I am a sexologist & women's health advocate. I went through menopause at 35 years of age. I faced all the bad stuff that came with menopause. By the time I finally ...got my diagnosis I was told I had the hormone levels of a 80 year old woman. I then had to fumble my way through what that meant and finding my way back to a semblance of my former body, life and functioning. This is a project that has been bubbling for awhile. This is the first step in the process and I need you to be apart of the grass roots research. 12.01.2022 Any way we can normalise conversations about periods is great! Judging by the comments on the original post I don’t know how much market testing they did on this one. Sure this is a shade that blood can be during periods but it definitely falls in the ‘pretty’ part of the period blood spectrum. Using red in period blood ads rather than blue liquid. Creating a worldwide discussion about periods with a colour. Start ups focusing on health conditions related to periods and inv...estment in these. ALL GOOD THINGS. Maybe elaborating on this being one colour in the spectrum of colour that period blood comes in and giving it some context relating to menstrual health may have been more effective. The pretty version of the colour also fits with the Swedish company’s branding that made the original request of Pantone. So the criticism of Pantone - a man picked the colour- or the person that chose the colour has never had a period - may be misplaced. It may speak more to Intimina branding than Pantone management. Again Using red in period blood ads rather than blue liquid. Creating a worldwide discussion about periods with a colour. Start ups focusing on health conditions related to periods and investment in these. ALL GOOD THINGS. This may have been a missed education opportunity for both companies (although it has raised Intimina’s profile globally). It will be interesting to watch. See more
