20.01.2022 Today the Palaszczuk Government released Queensland's Protected Area Strategy 2020-2030 This is a new 10-year plan for supporting the growth, management and sustainability of national parks and other protected areas and includes an initial investment of $60 million.... This investment also includes the doubling of Indigenous Land and Sea Rangers across the Queensland program, which will see 100 new Ranger jobs created for First Nations peoples acknowledging the incredibly important work they do in caring for country. Our Government has expanded Queensland's protected area estate by more than 1 million hectares since 2015 and the Strategy and investment announced today will continue this expansion and establish a pathway for the growth of protected areas over the next 10 years. 14.01.2022 There are many things I'm proud to have been part of delivering as part of the Annastacia Palaszczuk MP Government but Safe Nurse/Midwife to Patient Ratios is at the top of the list. I said it in my speech when we passed this legislation that the evidence proves ratios save lives. Once again we have more evidence.
