22.01.2022 Happy new year, everyone. Windows 7 has started popping up telling people that it's no longer supported and that they should upgrade to Windows 10. Fear not, this is a fairly simple job and I won't charge an arm and a leg to do it. There is no urgency, what the end of support means that there are no longer any updates. While this might please a lot of people, it also means that there are no longer any security patches so your computer will gradually become more vulnerable to hackers and malware, so it is a good idea to do it. The only caveat is that it is a good idea to check that your hardware is still supported, which I can also do. As always, if you have any questions feel free to give me a call to chat about it.

22.01.2022 Covid-19 has a lot of people worried at the moment. There is the potential to catch it from contaminated surfaces, and computers are a prime candidate. For your safety and mine, while this crisis continues I have a number of safeguards in place. When working onsite I will be wearing a mask, and I will be sanitising my hands after each housecall. All computers that come into my workshop will be sanitised on arrival in order to make them safe to work on and to prevent any cro...ss-contamination with other customers' machines. All dropoffs and pickups will be done on my front verandah in order to keep any potential contamination out of my workshop.. Once the threat passes things will return to business-as-usual, but unusual times demand unusual responses. Thanks.

19.01.2022 Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend. I expect a few people are going to get a nasty surprise next time their phone bill comes in because the phone scammers are back in business again. This weekend I received a few myself. Their mode of operation is that you'll receive a call from an overseas number - in my case it was +1 (USA) and +257 (Burundi) - but it will only ring once and then hang up. When you return the call you'll be on hold for a while or be engaged in a conversation. Where they make their money is that it's a premium number and you'll be charged a few (or possibly many) dollars a minute on your phone bill in addition to the international call. Beware!!!

07.01.2022 Just a short note to advise that I have moved house and am now living in Concord. I will continue to serve Rozelle and surrounding suburbs and I am in the area most days so I can provide continuity of service, and I have a dropoff facility where customers can leave equipment for me. You can be confident that you will receive the same level of service as before. Thus far my operations have not been impacted by COVID-19 although I am attempting to minimise close contact with my customers where reasonably possible. I look forward to helping you with any problems in the future. Cheers
