23.01.2022 HOT OFF THE PRESS A cheap solar company banned for defects. I often get asked why are your systems more than some of the advertised deals I see on my social media. Here is a company selling a $3k 6kw system.... Other than using substandard panels and inverter they cut huge corners for installs. Banned for safety defects... can you imagine how bad this is and why Solar VIC are checking installs... and I'm glad they are This shows that they cut install costs by as much as 1500 on a 6kw system... they use labourers... not electricians. Would you let an unqualified labourer wire up a power plant on your roof?? Of course you wouldn't Is it worth puting your house or even your family at risk for a couple of grand? Absolutely not. A good quality system will never cost as much as it saves Make the right choice

One of the biggest causes of rooftop fires is the isolator, which even amongst installers are discussed as problematic.... Funnily enough it tends to be the "cheap" systems that burn down. Why do you think that is?? Well it's simple, the cheaper installs may use the same panels and inverter. But I can guarantee the are cutting the cost of the install. This will include: - unqualified labour - a $5 isolator instead of a $100+ isolator - cheaper railing that will twist with strong enough wind - cheaper wiring with thin coatings, or even reused wiring cut and joined together.
