25.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT - We regret to inform you all that we have to steer away from offering the lowest price house drinks in Adelaide. As much as it pains us to say, the ever changing climate, increase of cost of goods and many other factors means we can no longer have a house range of beer, wine and spirits ranging from $5-$6.... From today onwards our standard house price for drinks will be $8.69. We hope you understand and continue to support. As a side note we've also decided to get rid of the BBQ.

23.01.2022 John Doe's is a local's and community based bar and we're on the look out for additional staff! If you're looking for something part time (approx 20 hours per week) and have experience in the hospitality industry then we want to speak with you. The role requires you to be a jack of all trades. You'll be the bar attendant, the cook, the front of house, the best friend to the locals and much more. There will be shifts where you're listening to your spotify playlist with an em...pty bar doing food prep and there will be shifts where you're working in a team of four or more people running a meat tray raffle, karaoke, live music or quiz nights. You need to be comfortable working quiet shifts by yourself and busy shifts within a team. You'll need to know how to multitask and prioritise. There will also be shifts where you will be required to work until 2AM and potentially conduct close or open by yourself. At this stage we will only be interviewing experienced applicants. Further training and up-skilling to our standards will be provided to successful applicants.

20.01.2022 We'd like to throw a huge thank you to our friends over at Prancing Pony Brewery. A huge shout out to Grant for giving some of the John Doe's family a tour through the Brewery and treating us like real VIPs. A great day was had by all and we highly recommend popping up to Mount Barker to check out their Brewery, have a tasting paddle and great feed.
