25.01.2022 As 2020 draws to a close, the JFPP Team would like to thank you for your continued support and understanding during what has been a challenging year. We will be out of the office from midday Thursday, 24 December 2020 and will re-open on Monday, 4 January 2021. 24.01.2022 Please be advised that on Saturday, 20th March, Health Workforce Queensland will be conducting infrastructure updates to their IT platforms. During this planned outage all of their systems will be offline. They will be back online on Sunday 21st March. The purpose of this outage is to provide continued and updated security and resilience features to their IT systems. We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time.

22.01.2022 2020 JFPP Scholar Cohort Update It was our hope that COVID-19 travel restrictions would ease in time to allow the 2020 JFPP Scholars to commence placements in their preferred state locations. Unfortunately, we have had to make the difficult decision to limit placements to intrastate locations for the 2020 cohort. This means that 2020 JFPP Scholars will only be approved to go on placement within their university state for the duration of their scholarship. Scholars currently ...residing outside of their university state due to COVID-19 will still be allocated to their university state and will commence placements upon their return. Scholars unable to commence placements within the first twelve (12) months of their JFPP scholarship will remain eligible to stay on the Program. Scholars unable to complete the required eight (8) placement weeks due to COVID-19 related restrictions will be assessed in their final year and offered credit for missed placements. Scholars who are credited for missed placements due to COVID-19 related restrictions will remain eligible to receive a JFPP Completion Certificate. We look forward to being part of your JFPP journey.

18.01.2022 2017, 2018 and 2019 JFPP Scholar Cohort Update: The JFPP Team wishes to advise that intrastate placements recommenced for Scholars from the 2017, 2018 and 2019 cohorts in all state jurisdictions (except for Victoria) from Monday, 3 August 2020. Intrastate placements are only available to Scholars allocated to their university state. 06.01.2022 The #JFPP Team is pleased to announce intrastate placements can recommence in all state jurisdictions (except for Victoria) from Monday, 3 August 2020. Intrastate placements are only available to Scholars with placement locations in the state in which they are currently residing. At this stage, there is no commencement date for interstate placements and no cross-border placements will be approved. Intrastate Scholars will need to contact their Mentor to ensure their practice/...facility is receiving students prior to submitting their JFPP Placement Request Form. Scholars wishing to undertake a combined placement will also need to obtain placement approval from their university. Placement Request Forms will need to be submitted at least six (6) weeks prior to the placement commencement date. Although we will be working with Corporate Traveller to ensure travel arrangements progress as smoothly as possible, please be aware that requested flight dates and times may vary and affect your nominated start and finish placement dates. Scholars unable to complete the required eight (8) placement weeks due to COVID-19 will be assessed in their final year and offered credit for their final placement. Scholars who receive credit for their final placement will be eligible to receive a JFPP Completion Certificate. Thank you for your commitment, patience and understanding through this process.
