24.01.2022 Horse shod up great. I wish I had got first up pics. Always the way
23.01.2022 Long feet, on track you can see the bruising where the laminar has been tearing. Always a good idea to get your horses on a regular schedule.
23.01.2022 Always check and clean out your feet
20.01.2022 The horses are suffering tremendously. Bad concussion and suffering inflammation due to the hard ground I’ve been padding a few of these guys over the past week With a combination of some sort of compression materials. Hope we get water soon.
19.01.2022 This Qh gelding has had an injury to his heel bulb. Due to the movement he has continued to split and crack and to become unstable. Resulting in the horse being lame and the crack starts to bleed. Another issue is the hoof doesn’t weight load evenly as you can see in the pics he just breaks away. I fitted him with a heart bar to balance and distribute the weight evenly ,I then equloxed his hoof to add structure and to stabilise the hoof wall. With a bit of time it will reattached and grow out. It will still have the scarring but the main objective is to stop the splitting.
18.01.2022 Just a little something I put together. I should of called it the farrier bread.
18.01.2022 It’s great when you can see a difference. This horse has just been given to one of my customers. Finished racing put out in a paddock and obviously hasn’t had his feet done for quiet some time. Fortunately he has some pretty good feet under the mess and will continue to improve. I’ll update some pics next time I visit.
15.01.2022 Good day in the office
15.01.2022 Another well behaved horse. First time shoes. Reacted a little to the smoke from the hot shoeing which is sometimes expected. But still a well behaved horse.
14.01.2022 Look at the size of this boulder. Make sure you alway check your horses hooves. Lucky this owner got onto this before it becomes a problem.
14.01.2022 Have a look at this poor little guy. No excuses!!!!
14.01.2022 When your horse ends up lame. Always have a look first. Doesn’t matter how great your paddocks are the horse will always find it
14.01.2022 I know that horses don’t think like humans., Or most animals at that. They think black and white. We put the colour in the middle.,And it is in these situations that I always question, that when animals of all sorts seek sanitary towards humans. This little guy Is normally hard to catch. He struggled and staggered over whilst I was trimming another horse and was nudging me. I look at that as help.

11.01.2022 I now am servicing Woodford and surrounding areas. 40km radius
10.01.2022 A bad quarter crack that keeps splitting. I’ve stabilised it with an aluminium patch and skews And equloxed the edges to prevent the horse from clipping it.
09.01.2022 Bad under run abscess
06.01.2022 Hard days work for some

05.01.2022 When your told the horse seems to be lame you uncover a whole mystery. The bacteria as obviously been working it’s way up the laminate for a few months now. Normally I find in this situation you will get a hollow cavity or a bulge in the hoof capsule. This didn’t present with any indication. I find it always interesting when I come across something different every day he should be back on his feet in no time.
05.01.2022 This little girl was picked up by the owner from being leased out. Obviously has had a few rounds of laminitis the owner unaware. The state of the feet where shocking. She could hardly walk and in the pics you can see the stretched laminar. After a good trim the hooves starts come back into shape and balance.
03.01.2022 Trimming my first baby shire. ( whilst she not to big ) what a beautiful little filly for now
03.01.2022 Little drama queen! Hey Whitney Matsen But a genuine boy all in one. 7weeks old this was his first trim he stretched forward like a bow then I let him go and whilst he was there he said stuff it!!and then did a dramatic flop on the ground and shut his eyes. 22years and this one made me laugh the next Video I tried to hold him and get him to stand up but to save the little one from straining himself I let it go and again off to bed we go again. He definitely had some character.
01.01.2022 Feet are coming along well
