05.01.2022 "WE'RE STILL HERE AND AS ENTHUSIASTIC AS EVER !" It was with great sadness that we teachers at the John Reynolds School of Music saw the retail shop go into liquidation after being in business since 1968. From my own perspective, I have been with John since February 1975, first as Manager in the shop, and then taking over the School in 1979 when I decided to teach full time, having taught part time since 1977, so this was quite a blow. Due to the fact that the building is sti...ll owned by John, he was able to save the school which is still running. However, it has become apparent that people have presumed that the school would have closed with the shop as we have not been receiving any enquiries for music lessons. At present we have teachers teaching drums, guitar and vocals. Ray Timms and Matthew McNamee teach drums, Greg Hart teaches vocals and guitar and Dean Higgs, Chris Tennent and Vince Vozzo teach guitar. We offer half hour private lessons, one on one, and have some fantastic teachers who are very experienced, and committed to helping their students realise their ambitions with their instrument of choice. We are open Monday to Thursday, and Saturday morning. For all enquiries please phone me, Ray Timms, on 0409 698 089.
