By 2036, it is estimated that the population of Doreen will increase from 19,900 (2015) to 26,800. ... Approximately 97% of Doreen residents reside in the City of Whittlesea and 3% reside in the Shire of Nillumbik. Doreen's first post office opened on December 8th 1870.
