01.01.2022 The beauty of the Kimberley’s wet season is from December to March. This normally attracts large numbers of tourists to the region to witness the dramatic divergence of landscape. With Western Australia locked off to other states, the locals are sure to make the most of this wet season. During the "build up", the beginning of the wet season, rain occurs in form of sometimes violent thunderstorms. Huge cloud masses pile up in the afternoons which offer spectacular lightning sh...ows and hours of entertainment. The rain is localised, short-lived and normal very heavy. It is often preceded by strong winds. It is very refreshing and welcoming for the locals, who are awaiting the flowing waterfalls.
