24.01.2022 If people need to reschedule their weddings due to Covid-19 there’s no problem at my end - as long as I’m available on the new date I’ll be there. No extra charge, obviously. Hope you’re all well and have enough loo paper

24.01.2022 Lucky last pre lockdown wedding with these two beauties yesterday - any couple that brings their dogs in tuxedos is my family for life. Congratulations Courtney and Honé. Your ability to make it all happen in twelve hours blew my mind

23.01.2022 An essential component of any marriage.

23.01.2022 Update re Covid restrictions and ceremonies: Weddings in the Melbourne metropolitan area or the Shire of Mitchell will be restricted to 5 people (the couple, two witnesses and the celebrant). A wedding or funeral held in a private residence outside of metropolitan Melbourne or Mitchell Shire will be limited to five visitors, plus the celebrant.... Although I could legally travel from Castlemaine to any location in Victoria during this lockdown, technically, I won't be. It isn't the right thing to do. My phone has been running hot with calls from all bookings for the next few months and my wonderful clients have been happy to postpone, even when I've given them the option of transferring their ceremony to a celebrant more local to them. I don't mean to brag - but I do marry the most wonderful people on the planet. This situation is evolving every day, but I'll do my best to keep folks up to date here. I hope you're safe and well. I miss you and I miss working with you. People are my fave.

23.01.2022 So lovely https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=QkHJIT9j3lg

22.01.2022 Our toddler Luce urgently needed someone to read him Feminist Baby at 6:20, which was fine cos I was awake anyway. Before he stirred I got two whole emails out! Wooooooo! We’re having milk (mine with coffee) on the couch now and watching some animation about a chicken. Savouring these sweet moments. Isolating and working from home with a toddler and a baby is a unique challenge. Thinking of everyone who’s had their weddings impacted by #covid19 and my fellow small biz/sole t...rader folks doing it pretty tough. It’s scary. I’m mainly scared of someone I love dying, or me dying and my kids being down a mama. Financially it’ll be tough but I’m (naively?) hoping we all help each other through. If you’re feeling lost or scared, be of service to someone else. That’s my hot take. Big love to you and yours xxxx

19.01.2022 Hi team, I’m speaking on a panel as part of this excellent festival at 2 pm. I’ll be part of a discussion about how accessing arts both as a creator and consumer is when disabled. Hope you can tune in! It’s streaming free online

19.01.2022 A new job found its way to me over the past few months, it was unexpected and ultimately a wonderful soulful surprise. My whole reason for being is to lovingly and presently hear what it is people have to say, and then tell stories in the best way possible. So I'm here to do that for people in three different situations: 1 - those hoping to get a big life admin task in order... 2 - those with a life limiting diagnosis 3 - loved ones of a person who has died I'm here if you need me. http://www.jennyokeefememorials.com.au/

18.01.2022 A wonderful day meeting with two couples - hearing their stories, getting to understand who they are so I can best represent them on their wedding day. This is the road home from Tarrengower where I met with A and H this morning at their incredible home. The rocky wild land takes my breath away, what a place to call home! Looking forward to adding their story to this beautiful Dja Dja Wurrung country, to the earth and the air all around us as they marry on their verandah in March. It's no small thing to be welcomed into the homes of people in love, to talk about that and what they plan to do with all that love. Always humbling, always fills my cup.

18.01.2022 Happy two years to darling Mandy and Lauren, married at Bistro Lola with babe Lola in arms.

18.01.2022 Happy lesbian visibility day! Here I am in my son’s bday crown I made him earlier this week when he turned three. So um, now I’m visible I guess! Farshun standards have slipped in iso somewhat. Ok that’s not true I usually get around in a chesty bonds and some pj pants at home but frock the frock up at your weddings. Yay lesbians! Yay working again in future! Hope you’re all keeping well and enjoying this holy day

15.01.2022 You’re welcome

15.01.2022 A long, long time ago. That’s me under the L in the grey three piece suit and magenta tie. So strange to see an image of a crowd. Stranger still that they had to fight for equal rights. And we bloody won in the end. ... Shit yeah!

12.01.2022 When I marry you, you will definitely* be this ridiculously good looking. So beautiful to be reunited with Jessamy and Dan, Married four years ago in the Grampians. I was pretty stoked when Nick and Ben got in touch last year after grabbing my contact details from Jessamy! * really. It’s just a thing that happens. #nickandben2020 #goldfieldswedding #choochoo #castlemainecelebrant #reunionspecial #reallyridiculouslygoodlooking

11.01.2022 PLS BE CAREFUL AND DON’T LOSE YOUR HUSBAND

10.01.2022 I can’t wait to share some pics from #nickandben2020 - for now just some sneak peeks of the perfect leap year Feb 29 celebration for two loving and loved men Nick and Ben’s guests didn’t know where they would end up this afternoon when they got on the steam train at Daylesford, and the shady spot by Bullarto station was where they said their I Do’s. #Castlemainecelebrant #goldfieldswedding #choochoo #lovefestival

10.01.2022 Truly majestical.

10.01.2022 Don’t worry about the lack of work everyone - my serious fine arts career is about to take off

08.01.2022 Happy first anniversary Eleanor and EP! Such a gorgeous wedding at Healesville Sanctuary. 02.01.2022 Good morning all! I've been doing some deep dive reading, listening and learning and wanted to share this brilliant clip with you all. As a celebrant I've always encouraged couples to have me include an acknowledgement of country at the start of your ceremonies. I've let everyone know that inviting a local Elder to your wedding to start things off is a beautiful way to pay respect to the First Nations people of the land you're starting your married life on. I have done my be...st to be respectful and openhearted in this process. I now realise it's not nearly enough. These inclusions have never been tokenistic and have truly come from the heart, but together we can do so much more. From here on in when you book with me, I'll tell you about how we can pay the rent together. Not a donation, not to fix the hundreds of years of systemic racism and oppression and damage done, but to start to pay what is owed. I'm very mindful to not be performative, and after a lot of deep soul searching I wanted to do what I always do - and that's to live my truth and by doing so show very plainly who I am, in whatever I do. Join me if you like, it's up to you. With my love and respect to all. Have a look at this clip from Baroness von Sketch Show.

01.01.2022 Lately, in between weddings. Meet Me At Mike's put a beautiful new book out! Autumn arrived and with it snuggly baby cuddles! Made ants on a log for my toddler for the first time! Plum, strawberry, raspberry and lemon thyme (all locally grown!) with macadamia and pecan crumble! Did some sewing with Julie Red Projects! Saw Patty Griffin in Bendigo on a date with my wife! I love autumn

01.01.2022 Ripening raspberries! Yummo. I’m super excited about three weddings in the next week. Some real sweeties tying the knot. I hope you’re all doing ok and getting some tasty treats happening in life
