18.01.2022 This week we find scammers pretending to be from Amazon Prime. Even if you have an Amazon account - Amazon will never need to take remote control of your computer. Remember any time anyone requests to take remote control of your PC it is usually a scam.

14.01.2022 We just got in a Reco Lenovo i3 2.4Ghz Laptop for sale for $300. It has 4Gb ram, windows 10 Pro, and has a webcam and DVDRW drive. Ideal for watching movies, social media, accounting, video calls or school work. We only have one at the moment. Typically our other model reco laptops are $400+ .

13.01.2022 Be advised, it appears scammers are buying advertising on facebook at the moment. Suggest you avoid clicking any ads no matter how tempting, some link to a phone scam website.

12.01.2022 Laptop getting a bit slow? Breath new life into it. For around $200 we can replace your old slow mechanical hard disk with an SSD, which can improve speed almost 10 times in some cases. Best part is we clone the old drive, so other than being a lot faster all your programs and files remain the same.

11.01.2022 Big change this month, is SSD drive prices are now comparable to mechanical drive prices this time last year. For about $140 you can get a 480gb BX SSD Hard disk, or for about $100 a 240GB high performance MX SSD.

10.01.2022 We will be remaining open during the covid scare to allow people to get their computer repaired or replaced as needed. Our second hand laptop supplier also still has laptops available for around $250 with an i5 or i3 processor.

07.01.2022 Strange issue of the day. Desktop PC, totally dead. Individual parts all check out ok. The issue was a flat CMOS battery. Normally a mainboard warns of low battery but still powers up. Apparently in MSI B75MA-E33 mainboards they just go totally dead and wont even post. (power on self test) Weird!

03.01.2022 We have a number of reconditioned laptops available from our parts supplier, ranging in price from $140 for a 12.1" Atom PC, up to 14" and 15.6" screen size with i3 and i5 CPUs for between $200 and $485, all preloaded with windows 10. 02.01.2022 If you get an email or SMS claiming to have hacked your email, or that your bank account has been disabled - but you dont use that bank these are usually scams. However - If you get an email from your own email address, sometimes even including one of your old passwords, you can ignore the email, but it will still be a good idea to change the password for that email address, especially if you have had the same password for over two years.

02.01.2022 WARNING: when buying new laptops refuse to purchase if they come with "Windows S Mode" this effectively disables the laptops ability to run any software, but what Microsoft wants. It can be disabled, but not without surrendering your privacy to Microsoft, and making it impossible to resell the machine again later.
