24.01.2022 That time of year again! Weaning at JS Grazing is in full swing and we have been blessed with some beautiful rain. 10 weeks til sale day.

23.01.2022 Exciting times here at JS Grazing with a major upgrade to our feedlot underway. We made the decision early this year to reinstate the Triple J feedlot. This means we won’t be holding our annual weaner sale at Roma in July. However there will be an opportunity in the coming months to secure a line of 100 JS Grazing ‘top of the drop’ heifers. Stay tuned for more details.

20.01.2022 An opportunity to purchase a line of lovely joined heifers. These heifers went through our weaner sale in July and present a great chance to step into some solid Angus genetics.

13.01.2022 Misty rain made for a few anxious days here at Double J but we made a call to send our weaners in a day early. We are proud of our 2019 line up. They sell this Tuesday the 9th of July through Watkins & Co at the Roma Saleyards.

13.01.2022 These girls haven’t had an easy time of it but responded well to a fresh paddock thanks to getting under a storm. We put around 120 yearling heifers into a fix...ed time AI program in which we used a bull we purchased out of the 2019 Millah Murrah sale. Millah Murrah Chisum P110 was purchased for $34,000 and is by S Chisum 255 out of a Te Mania Emperor cow. Since having him home Jeremy continues to be impressed with his length, softness and beautiful temperament. Can’t wait for these babies to hit the ground. See more

13.01.2022 What a wonderful endorsement of our cattle. Thank you to all those that helped get these heifers to sale, it really is a combined effort. We were truly humbled today to witness the competition for our cattle, thank you to the underbidders and we hope that these girls go on and perform for Billy Servin and Amelia Servin.

10.01.2022 A massive thank you to all involved in our 2019 weaner sale. We could not have been prouder of how this year's weaners lined up yesterday at Roma. They had a difficult start but we believe they will perform for their new owners and we extend our thanks to all buyers and under bidders. The steer portion averaged $3.29/kg at 292kg for a return of $964 per head and the heifer portion averaged $2.81/kg at 270kg for a return of $757 per head.

10.01.2022 We are delighted to present this line of 102 EU accredited Angus weaner heifers through Watkins & Co Roma at the Roma Saleyards on the 25th of August 2020. These will be the only females we will offer for sale this year and represent a wonderful opportunity to purchase quality replacements packed full of high end genetics.

The idea that I can come out the other side with a plan I can implement and I will have someone to hold my hand the whole way is very appealing. 09.01.2022 We have sent two decks of these heifers into Roma for tomorrow’s sale. They sell through Watkins and Co first sale in the morning. Milk teeth, Millah Murrah blood approximately 320kg.

06.01.2022 I am week 4 in this course and highly recommend it. I recognised that we had some work to do in this space in our business and liked the idea of having my hand held to get it done. This course provides so much structure, support and resources from emergency planning, training, inductions etc etc that I now feel getting a WHS plan in place in our business is achievable.

04.01.2022 Our maiden heifers about ready to start calving. They were part of an AI program last October using Millah Murrah Pepper P110 that we bought last year. He is sired by Chisum 255.

03.01.2022 A bit of excitement at Double J this afternoon. Scott Harland and the boys from SJH Builders had completed work on our shed today, just in time for our first delivery of feed. We were pretty chuffed with how it all worked. Thanks to Scotty, Sarah and their team, Ryan Allen and his team from Rhino Concrete and Construction and local boys Beau Hornick and Jake Murray for all their hard work over the last couple of months to see this project through to fruition. #localssupportinglocals
