24.01.2022 Another great weekend of lessons! Love to see everyone doing their homework! I went to jump club with Katie and rauri, rauri jumped his biggest course to date and has got so much more balanced in his position. Katie took her young horse around a course for the 1st time in a year and the previous jumping ban worked wonders and they came back stronger and better than ever . Today I had lots of great lessons with all the kids. Mainly working on balance and country with them a...ll. Everyone did amazing So proud of everyone I teach every time I see them Lessons available in the cairns region. Pm for more details. See more

20.01.2022 Jimmy is still here at boot camp he has had a week off after the amazing Lesley Hawkins treated him. During his week off we have been working on his catching skills as it had taken me up to 40 minutes to catch him previously! This is the end result his owners Michelle Krsticevich and Emma have also been very dedicated with the catching issue as well coming over every night to catch him and spend time with him. He will stay for one more week then go back home to be Emma’s best friend
20.01.2022 Jimmy arrived last night for pony boot camp. He is here for a week or two to get him ready for his new little rider Horse training available in Gordonvale. 1 acre private paddocks with amazing stables. Pm or more info

11.01.2022 Today’s purchases. . . I think it’s such a great tool to be able to look back at your rides and see what was going on from a different point of view. It also means if anyone is interested I can now offer full video footage of your lessons for you to look back on at any time so you can then see and hear what was happening in the lesson to give you more understanding and knowledge moving forward with your riding while I’m not around. ... I can also offer a video diary of the horses in for training agistment so you can see what work was done while you weren’t around and give you more understanding of how to handle different situations or ‘push different buttons’ once you get your horse back
09.01.2022 A bit of a wet Saturday but still a great day Renae had her 1st trot on the beautiful Nemo, Jimmy went on a trail ride, Rosie had her 1st ride back after some time off and more, just not pictured
09.01.2022 It’s the 6am rides time of year . Super happy with both horses today the 1st picture is Abby, she has been with me for a month now in training. Abby arrived shortly after being purchased by her new owner to be brought back into work after a period of time off. When she arrived though it was very clear she suffered with extreme anxiety she would just pace all day, couldn’t bare to be led away from horses and hated to be tied up as she couldn’t see snappy, she was fine with... people but would barge straight through them especially around food she had so little trust in herself she couldn’t trust the people to help her. I spent the 1st 2 weeks just on ground work and helping her through her anxiety. I really wish I was better at filming stuff because the difference in her is incredible. She chooses to spend time with people, she’s become so cuddly and most importantly she’s content within herself. Her whole demeanour has completely changed and it’s been amazing to watch. She is now being ridden and we have been making sure the anxiety doesn’t come back under saddle. Hopefully she will be ready to go back to her owner soon Snappy was also amazing this morning, everyone who knows snappy will know how ‘quirky’ he can be under saddle especially for the 1st lot of transitions. Snappy has been in and out of work since I got him 4 years ago for various reasons most recently because of my operation last year. I obviously lost a lot of my riding fitness and when I started riding him again I went from only falling off him 2 times in 3 years (all my fault and not because of one of his quirky moments) to falling off him pretty much every time I got on him because I just didn’t have the muscle to stick his quirkyness any more. This morning I tried something completely new for me and snappy and so far so good! (it usually feels like riding a ticking time bomb, he’s not in pain he’s just extremely expressive and enjoys his work and likes to show it ) He felt super relaxed even through transitions so it keeps working and he lets me get riding fit again before he starts chucking in any fancy dance moves

06.01.2022 Meet Bonnie . She’s a stunning 4 year old WBx owned by the very lucky Tegan Crocker and Sue Crocker. She made the journey from Brisbane nearly 2 months ago and after a long break to settle in we have finally been bringing her back into work. Today was her 3rd ride back and what a dream she was so excited to continue to work with this mare
05.01.2022 Jimmy left boot camp today he has come so far with his catching and getting over his napping/ barn sourness (or what ever you Aussie’s want to call it ) cant wait to see Emma and Jimmy flourish as a partnership
03.01.2022 This mornings clipping transformation. Indy had never been clipped before her coat was extremely thick and fairly matted so the owner just wanted to start fresh. I’m sure Indy feels much better and lighter now
