25.01.2022 Have been busy busy busy in the studio with a couple of large commissions complete, months in the making!! Thank you to my Mum and Dad and Lisa Boundy for a safe delivery to Cairns and especially thank you to Linda McKinnon for giving me this special commission of her special mare ‘Echo’.

21.01.2022 Kiln started at 6am for a glaze firing this morn!! As we’re ‘off grid’ all firings are done with a gas kiln and is meticulously managed by my hubby, Dave, my kiln technician extradinar. No set and forget with this kiln, each ramp up is done manually to get to temp, then relying on cones to ensure correct temp matches glaze and clay body. From placing in the kiln to having them cool enough to remove is usually a 24 hour period. Love using a gas kiln as it gives magic results especially if put in a reduction!! Happy Hump Day!!

19.01.2022 The neighbours just a passing by!!! Such a pleasant distraction in the studio today.

Thank you to Louise and Carol for helping pull this together and last but not least my backup crew Dave, Lee and Sue Lock Croser Of course Mindy has a starring role and I also managed to get Sammie to sculpt a horse. 11.01.2022 Results from my last firings for 2020!!! What a year it’s been!! I would like to thank every single one of you for your support and it’s been wonderful to share my arts journey!! Three years ago I made a conscious decision to give my art a go, a proper go, i took the plunge, quit my job, enrolled in Art School and went for it. I’m so grateful for where my art has taken me, the people I’ve met and knowledge I’ve gained. And to now having my own arts practice is a dream come true. Just saying, it’s never too late to follow your passions, with a lot of hard work and constantly ignoring the self doubt, you just never know !! I hope my posts have offered that mini moment of distraction from the lockdowns and uncertainty of 2020. Have a very Merry Christmas and bring on 2021
