We often think the only alternative to guiding them is to ei...ther ban them or let them use it. Anyone whose ever been a teenager will know that banning never works. For anyone who is a parent or teacher you'll know that guiding children is never that easy. Guiding children in meaningful & safe use of the app is another option. There are some uses of TikTok that are creative and meaningful and can have a positive effect and some that don't. Helping children to differentiate between these is what digital literacy is all about.
