24.01.2022 Hello friends. It's such a difficult time for so many at the moment, especially for couples coping with a major, terminal illness. I'm part of an amazing group of celebrants and wedding vendors from all over Australia, who help the terminally ill to fulfill their dream for a beautiful wedding. My Wedding Wish makes dreams come true. If you know of a couple who are struggling with a terminal illness and want to marry their true soulmate, get in touch with them and let them know about www.myweddingwish.org This is a national charity Australia wide and will work at short notice to deliver a beautiful wedding. The ceremony is gifted (ie no cost to the couple). PLEASE let no couple miss out. A MWW gifted wedding could make a huge difference. Please share and get the word out there! xo

18.01.2022 Thanks for the great blog Bronte. Celebrating love in all it's brilliantness!

18.01.2022 This poem Drops of Rain' written by the 6th Dalai Lama who lived centuries ago, still rings true. I love Tenzin's work - his music is so ethereal, rich and raw. I hope to get back to the Himalays one day. I often use scarves (Katags) like the one Tenzinas wrapped around his instrument in ceremony. They are so beautiful for handfasting!

17.01.2022 Who'd of thought ther'd be a world 'proposal' day! ... well just in case you're the proposer or the proposee... give me a call when you get round to setting the date!

13.01.2022 Peeps - the Albion has a gorgeous 'wine room' that is just perfect for intimate gatherings! Worth a look :-)

12.01.2022 A dear family member who knows a little about love and loss just posted this - take a minute to read it and notice the inner glow that warms you up all the way from the inside out!

11.01.2022 On Monday I was absolutely thrilled to officiate K & J's wedding, on the beach up at the Sunshine Coast. Mother Nature gave us a bit of wind to contend with, but was very gracious and held off from unleashing a few big fat drops of rain until we were all done! These two soulmates tied the knot with a hand-fasting. I'm still grinning from ear to ear with love in my heart and sand in between my toes. What a beautiful day

11.01.2022 Love! What a gorgeous display

09.01.2022 Celebrant Julie is ready to be of service .... and The Celebrants Network has amazing celebrants all over this amazing land of ours ... just in case you're not in Brisbane!

08.01.2022 Yep - gotta get your legal sorted when you're getting hitched!

08.01.2022 Hard conversations can save a lot of heartache - have you talked about advance care planning with your loved one(s)?

07.01.2022 Awwwww - gotta love an ISO-nots-legal wedding! Just a it of wedding fun on a Saturday where I'm sure many beautiful couples have had to postpone they're special day!

06.01.2022 This was an amazing journey of discovery and one I hope to study again in the future. If you are interested in delving into conversations about death and dying, I highly recommend studying with Wendy. It just may make your present more alive and vibrant!

05.01.2022 We are currently limited to just 5 people at a wedding but that won’t last forever. This link has some good ideas how to involve family members in your marriage ceremony once we can all get back to normal. https://www.celebrants.org.au//how-to-involve-blended-fami

04.01.2022 My latest musings....

04.01.2022 Gorgeous photos! Absolutely lovely!! Jess did the photos for a beautiful wedding I officiated up at Mt Tamborine.... she captured all the magic!

04.01.2022 Bassline Studio Peeps - not just awesome musos but pretty awesome peeps too! If you're up for booking music for your wedding, or indeed any kind of celebration or event - you'll be glad you chose them. I think they are usually booked out way in advance, so now's probably a good time to get in! I conducted a My Wedding Wish ceremony with them some time ago and they provided the music for a wonderful couple, one of whom has a nasty brain cancer. They were lovely, talented, kind and I can't recommend them enough! ...'nuff said!!

04.01.2022 Yay - I just love weekday weddings!

04.01.2022 Happy anniversary you beautiful souls!

03.01.2022 Love your work lovely ladies at Floral Architecture!

03.01.2022 This is hilarious! Raising the bar for 'dad' speeches! LoL

01.01.2022 Hi everyone - it's Cervical Cancer Awareness Week - so please anybody with a cervix ... check in for your cervical screening .... this means you. Young women, older women, straight, gay, trans - however you present on your journey upon this earth, please, please, PLEASE don't delay, if you are overdue make your appointment today. In my day job at ACCF we hear too many stories of young, healthy, vibrant women who were behind in their screening. Many of them are just fine, so...me may have abnormal outcomes, and unfortunately there are some who find out they have cervical cancer, and that is a 'holy crap' kind of moment. Luckily in Australia, we have vaccination and screening programs, it's so easy! When I've been overseas in Nepal there is no national screening program. Women die, needlessly from a preventable cancer. So please, don't delay, for a few minutes of - awkwardness, embarrassment, anxiety, perceived lack of time (or whatever it is that is keeping you away from your screening). Get over it and get it done. :-)
