21.01.2022 Marine Rescue Coffs Harbour is actively recruiting new volunteers looking to fill in some time and contribute to this valuable emergency service. We are looking... for Boat Crew, Radio Operators and Fundraisers. All nationally accredited training will be provided by our dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers, at no cost to you. For Boat Crew, you learn everything from tying knots to ocean navigation to Search and Rescue Planning. And of course you get to drive the boat. For Radio Operators, you learn everything from how to log on a vessel to how to handle an incident to ocean navigation as well, all within our modern radio room. Fundraisers will help out at our regular fundraising BBQ’s and other fundraising activities that bring in much needed funds to ensure our 24/7 operational status. All members have the opportunity to gain their First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation certificates, as well as their NSW General Boat Licence and Marine Radio Operators License. If you would like to assist with any aspect of the unit’s operations, there is no limit. You can help out in multiple areas.
