25.01.2022 Thankfully we've only ever had a total of three tents left behind in all of the years of Jungle Love and that was all in one year. Everyone took their tents home after the last one and it the site was left cleaner than ever. We're so lucky to have such an awesome community. Let's do it again this year!

25.01.2022 Future Haunts have just premiered their new EP via Pilerats and it's sounding absolutely killer. Have a listen here. We're really looking forward to the gang tearing it up on our main stage. Just over a couple of months to go now!

25.01.2022 We are beyond excited to announce our partnership with WE-REFILL who are leading the charge in cutting down single use plastics across festivals in Australia. Amongst many other great initiatives, WE-REFILL provide attendees access to chilled still and sparkling water in an effort to reduce anyone bringing (or purchasing) plastic water and soft drink bottles. Previous festivals have seen an incredible reduction of up to 95% in plastic consumption and we know with your help we can achieve a positive reduction at Jungle Love this year. So keep an eye out for future posts to see how you can get involved to help cut down our plastic consumption together! Joshua Tate @joshtate_

22.01.2022 Jungle Love is a BYO festival with a strict no glass policy. You can prepare for this over the holidays, by collecting used soft drink bottles, which you can use to decant your spirits and wine into at the festival. This will help to avoid buying new single use soft drink bottles specifically for that purpose.

22.01.2022 Here at Jungle Love we have two main goals. We aim to bring together a community of like-minded, kind, loving people to connect with each other, and to champion incredible music, irrespective of any perceived popularity (all while having an absolutely legendary party!) P.S We have some exciting news coming next week what do you think it could be?? @mellumae

20.01.2022 With the change of date we can only imagine the questions in peoples' minds about what there is to expect. We can tell you that we plan to get even more Jungle Lovey. We believe the secret to keeping it Jungle Lovey is by keeping it intimate and growing this community slowly and steadily through you lovely lot. We've still got a beautiful creek, but we're also looking forward to gathering around a fire at night if South East Queensland gets enough rain between now and May. F...or programming, we plan to keep doing our thing, choosing artists that we believe in based on their talents and performance alone. There'll be a mix of rock, pop, folk, funk, soul, hip hop, fusion, psych, doom, metal, glitch, dub and you name whatever else! We will keep bringing the fun, vibrant, absurd performers for you to join in on their escapades throughout the festival. We will continue to wholeheartedly encourage full participation from everybody, and even moreso this year with theme camps, the 60+ hour jam stage and more. Now that it's in Autumn, it'll be a million times easier and more comfortable to dress up...we'll be revealing our theme very soon.. We're also planning to go further with our environmental initiatives - but more on all of this in January when the Summer holidays are over and we're all searching for the next thing to look forward to! by Jcbmrrsn Freelance

18.01.2022 Artist Spotlight: Hiatus Kaiyote Since selling out The Sydney Opera House, Hiatus Kaiyote have become one of the most sampled bands in the world. Featuring on the closing track on Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Damn’ and the opening of Drake’s ‘More Life’ record last year and have popped up on cuts by Chance The Rapper, Anderson Paak and Rhapsody. They’ve come a long way since 2011 when the four-piece band operating out of a small home studio in the mid-Northern suburbs of Melbourne,... fired out a unique and kaleidoscopic vision of Future Soul. At once they shook down the paradigm walls and inspired even the U.S originators of the music. They have just announced some exciting news, their first album in six years,Mood Valiant. It is led by single, Get Sun - be sure to check it out!

18.01.2022 Yonder Festival is coming up this month! It's a new outdoor festival held by ex-JL organiser Lincoln, and some of the brilliant crew who've been involved with Jungle Love. There's something really special about a brand new camping festival, because the people that go to the first one are totally down for it and create the magic. It's a rare opportunity to be part of a truly intimate moment in time, to be a part of the first one and see where it all started and to watch it gro...w as time goes on. It's going to be absolutely stunning, and a secret little tip, it's on the same site as JL was held last year, with the lush swimming hole and gorgeous hilltop sunsets. That alone is worth the price of admission, let alone the awesome festival they have planned and all of the wonderful people you'll get to meet (and it's BYO). You'll never get the chance to experience the first one again, so get a ticket while you still can! See more

17.01.2022 A little goal we've set ourselves is to have minimal queueing at the festival. We're planning to make all of our venues spacious enough that you'll never have to line up to get in. This includes running our electronic stage, Jungle Boogie, till much later in the evening. It'll be open-air, so just waltz in and out as you feel, no need to queue. We're also providing enough toilets that queues will be at a minimum. The only queueing is likely to be when everyone is trying to enter the festival on the Friday, and for showers and coffee in the mornings. Jacob Morrison @jcbmrrsn

17.01.2022 To our awesome community; We were up at the festival site this weekend doing some planning when we found out the news that the federal government wants all non-essential gatherings of more than 500 people to be suspended from Monday due to Coronavirus. We're currently in a bit of limbo as we await the government's final decision on Monday, following which we'll update our community with the next steps for the festival.... We appreciate your understanding in this unpredictable time. Be good to each other!

17.01.2022 Music applications close at 11.59pm this Sunday the 15th of December. Get them in if you haven't already, we'd love to hear from you! https://forms.monday.com/f/0da2e7b9f0bacc25c27f399e83beedc2 Photo By Savvy Creative

16.01.2022 In the lead up to the festival lets remember to respect our new site, it's owned by a very caring family who have poured endless effort into making it the best that they can. While you're having fun, remember to be conscious of your surroundings. Bringing a reusable water bottle to top up and keep hydrated and a keep cup to stay caffeinated are both easy adjustments. Those smokers amongst us may also find bringing a film canister or alternative receptacle a good option t...o avoid ashing on the ground. Jungle Love would be a true utopia if we could all commit to Leave No Trace by keep it tidy, recycling everything we can and creating less waste. If you feel like you need a touch of sparkle, biodegradable glitter is best and doesn’t harm the flora or fauna. Bring everything you already have or borrow from friends and family and please take everything you can home with you when you depart. Pic by Jacob Morrison!

16.01.2022 Joint statement from Jungle Love directors Raymond and Lincoln: Some big changes are afoot and we have some announcements to make. Firstly, our sincerest apologies for not letting you know what’s happening sooner. We had to take the time to make sure we got everything right before we could make an announcement. Regrettably, it has come to the point where the two of us have decided to end our partnership and go separate ways. So what does this mean for Jungle Love?...Continue reading

15.01.2022 Did you know that cutting down our consumption of red meat could actually have more impact on reducing our carbon footprint than abandoning cars! Thats why we have partnered with all our food venders and have decided to serve only sustainable and ethically sourced meats! In keeping with our goals to become an even greener festival now you can enjoy a delicious variety of locally sourced fresh produce and meats knowing it has had as little impact on our planet as possible! @ Molly Burley - dont.think.photography

15.01.2022 We’re doing away with compostable plates and cutlery! We know what you’re thinking WHAT ABOUT OUR PLANET?? Well often we can’t be certain that bio serveware is composted properly. So we have decided to switch to fully reusable items and step away from throwaway culture! Don’t panic about having to clean your dishes we got you covered with a professional cleaning station and as always don’t forget to BYO keep cups for all your beverage needs! - photo @ www.nedmartin.org

15.01.2022 Calling all our fairies, mermaids, pixies, and dragons! The time has come for us to announce our Saturday night dress-up theme for Jungle Love 2021: "Wild Things and Mythical Creatures". We were so keen on this being our theme last year that we coudln't let it go to waste. Let your creativity run wild, prepare your outfits and let loose your inner creature. Together we will transform Jungle Love into an immersive wonderland full of wild things and mythical creatures for an unforgettable magical night! Full participation is required for best results.

15.01.2022 Jungle Love encourages full participation from everybody that joins us! There's so much to get involved in, from our jam sessions, theme camps, workshops and a whole host of roving delights. This year we're also asking each of you to think about random acts of kindness you could bestow onto others. Perhaps it's a morning coffee with Baileys for your camp mates (seriously freakin' delish!), or maybe offering to lend a hand setting up your new neighbour's tent when they arrive. Who knows what it could be, but if you're open to the idea, you'll be ready for anything that comes your way! by Kalem Horn Photo

13.01.2022 We're fully aware of the possibility of a sudden lockdown happening again, and it could happen the day before we open our festival gates in May. It would be devastating if that happens, and we'd wear a significant loss. But we'd be able to pack up and hold the festival several months later, survive, and deliver an amazing experience. We are, of course, hoping (and feeling positive) for the best, but we have planned for every scenario. Our thoughts are with Blues Fest, Rabbit...s Eat Lettuce, and any other scheduled events to kick off today. Stages were built, toilets were plumbed, staff had been on the books for another year organising the events, everything was ready to go, all for the rug to be ripped out from under their feet at the last minute. It's not just the organisers that will suffer, but all of the suppliers and crews, artists, food vendors and local businesses as well. We really do feel for everyone affected. No insurer on the planet is covering covid cancellations, and all event organisers are rolling the dice. With JobKeeper finished and all but crumbs left in grant funding to apply for, it's hard to imagine how such events can survive. Festival organisers are a resilient bunch, we have to be, so I have faith that they'll adapt. Still, they're going to need a lot of support. Not just well wishes and promises to party harder next year, they need financial support from the government. They need financial support from the people that enjoy their festivals. We often see the public assumes that festivals have loads of cash to survive these things. They never do. They live year to year with no safety net behind them, and one devastating event can be the end. Think about how many festivals we had in the late 2000s and early 2010s, many of which didn't make it. It just takes one misstep or something entirely outside of their control, and all of a sudden, your favourite festival may no longer exist. It may seem like a difficult ask as many are in difficult financial positions themselves, but please hold onto your ticket if you have one. Allow them to deliver whatever they can pull together at their postponed events, and consider donating a little extra if you can - they need it. Samara Sutton Baker

13.01.2022 This year Jungle Love will be fully BYO.. EVERYWHERE! We won't have any bars on site, meaning you'll be able to take your drinks with you from your campsite up to any stage at any time. Just remember: NO GLASS! by Don't Think Photography

12.01.2022 Payment plans available till Thursday midnight only! Join now and pay the 'balance' (pic related) over 10 weeks and you'll be sorted. . @synaesthetemedia

12.01.2022 We're announcing our first lineup tomorrow! Jungle Love is now held over May 1-3 for anyone who hasn't seen yet. It can't be understated how much the weather can shape a festival experience. We're thoroughly looking forward to pleasant Autumn days that feel blissful on the skin while we dance it out to some of our favourite artists. Check this space tomorrow! pic: Kalem Horn Photo

12.01.2022 Rejoice!! All of the stages this year are going to be a hop, skip and a jump from each other this year. Less time walking, more time chilling and boogeying. We heard your feedback after the last one and we agree that the stages were all a touch too far apart. That's why we've designed a layout this year where the stages can be close enough to each other without being affected by sound bleed so you can bounce around as you please. . Pic: Lauren Crabbe

11.01.2022 Check out how green the site is looking!

11.01.2022 Out of all the things you could get your loved ones for Xmas, what could be more meaningful than taking them to Jungle Love? As our lil' gift to you, we will even take $10 off every ticket on orders of two or more tickets between now and Xmas Day! Payment Plans are available. https://www.junglelovefestival.com.au by Samara Jamel

10.01.2022 Jungle Lovers! We need your help to make Jungle Love 2020 the biggest and best yet. Being a BYO, non-commercial, not for profit event, we have to lean on our community a little bit to help us create the best festival for everyone, within a budget. And what better way to reduce our impact than to reuse materials? If you have anything you can donate, please register it in the form below. Take a nice snap for us and we'll be in touch. While we have no expectations, we’ve attac...hed a wish-list of items that will help pull of Jungle Love Festival 2020. Every little bit helps so if we can get even a few of the items we've listed, the festival will be that much better off! It would be such a huge help if you're able to drop it off to us in Brisbane, however, if need be we can come to you. Please just let us know what you’ve got and how we can get it! https://www.junglelovefestival.com.au/jungle-love-festival- by Lauren Crabbe

10.01.2022 Want to join the JL crew and help us paint the town with posters in exchange for a full festival and camping ticket? We need keen beans to help us distribute 100 posters each throughout Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Byron, Gympie etc... We're also looking for peeps down in Sydney and Melbourne to help spread the word. The first 50 will need to be up by the 28th of January.... We give priority to enrolled students, or those experiencing financial hardship to give people who may not otherwise be able to attend the chance to experience Jungle Love ! If you're keen to help out in exchange for a ticket, please fill out the form here to apply: https://www.junglelovefestival.com.au/poster-volunteer-appl n.b. we will be taking expressions of interest for festival volunteers soon. And remember, Jungle Love is now held May 1-3 over the Labour Day Long Weekend!

10.01.2022 Want to adopt one of our Rainbow Bicycles until the next Jungle Love? We're seeking keen bean riders to come and paint one of our 50 new (secondhand) bicycles in their own flare to then use in their daily commutes. We just need them back before the festival (May 1-3) so that they can be used communally by everyone around the festival Or if you want to paint your own, we'll happily supply the paint. These bicycles are iconic and they do us wonders in promoting the festiv...al which is super important to be able to make it all happen. If you're keen to help spread the love, please apply using the link below and let's get these colourful wheels on the road. n.b we are limited in bicycles and can't offer one to everyone that applies. https://forms.monday.com/f/5bef29f96d58d6c04cd7e5d086060cfc Photos by Mellumae Photography and Anthony Lazaro.

10.01.2022 Introducing afternoon yoga. It's yoga... but in the afternoon! Revolutionary! If you make the most of your festival nights, you probably need yoga more than anybody and you'll finally be able to attend yoga at Jungle Love without having to get up early. (Yes, we will have morning yoga for your early risers as well!) Be sure to check out all of our other workshops on our website. pic: Kalem Horn Photo

07.01.2022 The Jungle Boogie Lineup has dropped! With 32+ artists set to grace our iconic electronic music stage, there is sure to be something to get you grooving on the dancefloor. We’ve carefully selected these artists to ensure the bass will be pumping, the beats dropping, and the vibes high all weekend long. There will be house, techno, glitch, funk, soul, DNB, and everything in between. We also have two new additions to our Creek Stage Lineup, Jarulah and Sad Face! We can’t wait to see you all on the dancefloor soon

06.01.2022 As we gear up towards Jungle Love returning next year on May 1, we want to share with you the ethos that guides all we do, in the hope it resonates with those who share our vision of a utopia. Our ethos is made up of four pillars that guide the direction of the festival: People... Bringing people together to connect with one another is the very thing that drives all of us to build this festival each year. We need more of it in this world! Jungle Lovers are a varied collection of humans that come together from all different walks of life. As eclectic as we all are, respecting and accepting our differences allows us to celebrate each others' expressions. This is a core aspect of what makes Jungle Love so unique. All who attend the festival, patrons, crew, volunteers, artists and guests share this pillar. We are all equal and on the same ride together, as one. Planet With every decision we make, we ask ourselves 'how might this impact the planet?' and if it does, we ask ourselves 'is it worth it?' and 'what are the alternatives?'. We avoid making decisions that will negatively impact the planet for future generations. We seek to offset our footprint through green initiatives, by investing and partnering with other organisations and community groups who promote and conduct sustainable practices. But it's the little things we all do that inspire others to make positive changes to their lives, just as we've been inspired by others. With everyone's collective help, we can make Jungle Love a waste-free and carbon positive event. Not tomorrow, but gradually over time. Charity Jungle Love relies on the kindness and generosity of many people and we strive to give back to our community wherever we can. We've recently made the move to become a Not For Profit organisation which further solidifies our vision to become a festival for the community. We hope this pillar encourages everyone to give more to those you love, including strangers you haven't met before and those less fortunate. Giving can come in any form and can be as simple as a smile. Arts We want to showcase music and arts we believe to be innovative and incredible, rather than relying on the hype. There are many artists out there who have the ability to reach your soul in ways you're yet to discover, and we want to bring them to you! This pillar informs how we curate our program and deliver a one-of-a-kind soundtrack each year that you won't find elsewhere. We've already got some seriously incredible acts and performers lined up and can't wait to reveal them soon. As a footnote, we want to say it loud and clear that we are a non-commercial festival that receives no major corporate sponsorship. Many have suggested we should, to help pay the bills but it wouldn't be Jungle Love if we did. We don't want to be the subject of corporate influence, we just want to keep it Jungle Lovey. People, Planet, Charity, Arts. Was that post long enough? Pic: Aimee Catt Photography

06.01.2022 Hey! You've probably been wondering what we're up to. We've just come back from a team camp out where we've been dreaming up ideas, getting to know each other even more and enjoying some time out in nature. We're working day and night in the background to bring you the next Jungle Love in Autumn 2020. There is so much love being poured into this one and we are incredibly excited for you to experience all the wonder that's in store. We're keeping our lips sealed as to what we...'re brewing up for now, but oh boy it's looking to be special! Expect it to be even more Jungle Lovey with more attention to all the little things that could make it even better. Announcement of dates and tickets are still a little way off as we get a few more things sorted on our end first. You'll see it here first when the time is ready. In other recent news, we've recently submitted our application to change our structure from a private company to a Not For Profit organisation. This means Jungle Love will no longer be owned by anyone, nor can it be bought or sold, and any profits generated must go back into serving the purposes of the organisation. Our financials will also be transparent and published each year. Festival Director, Raymond, has voluntarily relinquished ownership of the festival and remains as more of a guardian until it is time to pass the baton on. There is nothing more valuable in this life than human connection and a sense of belonging. Jungle Love exists to bring a community of like-minded, fun-loving people together to connect with friends both old and new and inspire and empower others to create and express themselves however they feel comfortable. This is everyone's festival, yours included, and Jungle Love needs you to nurture it for everyone to enjoy together during our time on this planet, and for future generations to come.

04.01.2022 Jungle Lovers! It has come to our attention that there are a lot of ticket scammers active this year. We just want to remind everyone not to purchase Jungle Love tickets anywhere except Tixel and Humanitix. Any refunded tickets will reappear on Humanitix so be sure to keep checking back there Currently there are still some bus package tickets available on our website! @mellumae

04.01.2022 With the upcoming Brisbane City Council election, we believe it's highly important that anyone eligible to vote should exercise their right to have a say in who is running the show. The highest demographic of those unregistered are young adults. While that may be a reflection of the lack of trust in our current political system, it is still imperitave that everyone have their say. As insignificant as one vote may feel, it adds up quickly when a collective of people choose to... opt out of the process. While we didn't design it, it's the only way to ensure all voices are heard. Just as importantly, check where you're registered to vote and update your enrollment if you have moved since the last election. You can check and update your enrolment at this address: aec.gov.au. Make sure you're enrolled by the cut off this week and have a look at the different party policies and please vote for the candidate that aligns with your values. Pic by Aimee Catt Photography

01.01.2022 Let's do something special for someone you love that you think would totally love Jungle Love! How often do you get a hand written letter from someone these days? Imagine how cool it would be if you received a handwritten invitation from some crazy character from a festival, with a message by one of your best friends, telling you why they really think that YOU should come to THIS festival in particular. It's going to be a mammoth effort on our behalf, but we know it'll be wo...rth it to go that extra mile to give someone an experience they'll never forget. Simply write a personalised message via our form below (keep it under 200 words!), we'll hand write it and coordinate it with you to deliver it to them in person at work, uni or home. This is available to people who have already got their tickets to the festival! This is limited to 200 people only and the receiver must live, work or study within 6km radius of Brisbane's CBD for us to deliver it in person. For any that we can't deliver in person, we'll pop in the post. They'll also get a code that gives them $20 off a ticket as a little bonus, but for the most part, it's about the gesture! https://forms.monday.com/f/a4234f8eb5f029f69fbe96f15bc45986 Kalem Horn Photo
