25.01.2022 I have these two beautiful Philodendron Brazils that I just adore. But because I have such a tiny house, if I have more than one of something I try to pot them up together to save on space and make one beautiful large plant rather than two small ones. I plan on propagating these guys in the future too with the second one, I spent time separating it from the soil because it was in its original foamy cube (cant remember what theyre called). The poor little roots struggle to break free from this foam and your plant can struggle because of it. I bought these plants from two different nurseries which is why only one had the foam. Please let me know if youd like to see more videos in the future apologies for the bad lighting, its a particularly bad overcast day today.

24.01.2022 Ctenanthe This plant has always been quite loyal to me, I keep it in my kitchen where it gets great light but no direct sun! Happy little Chappy, currently growing up my backsplash. I also finally picked myself up a tripod, sometimes you might want to see my face Watering ... Ctenanthes dont like to completely dry out, the leaves will start to curl. But try not to have it too soggy, let the water drain freely when watering. You can do this by watering over a sink before putting it back. They also dont live to be watered by normal tap water, this can cause crispy leaves. Try leaving a jug of water our overnight for the chemicals to evaporate and then water. Light They like bright, but indirect light. They tend to burn in direct sun, and if not given enough light the leaves will revert to green with no variegation. They also love humidity, so a spray with a water bottle every few days through drier times is important. Fertiliser Monthly in Spring and Summer at half the recommended strength. Every other month in Autumn and Winter. Pruning Trim any dead leaves not only for looks but so the plant doesnt put energy into saving them. As always, if you think Ive missed anything or have any extra tips, shoot me a message.

23.01.2022 Not indoor plant related.. Ive been doing some rearranging in our home, and Ive not been able to find the right plant for this pot.. so Ive decided to use it to store my lemons instead, which I think looks pretty cute next to my terracotta fruit bowl

22.01.2022 So, I have a lot of plants if you havent already guessed. For the most part I enjoy the therapy of watering them, but sometimes I just dont have the time or energy for the 1-2 hour weekly job of filling up my watering can over and over again. This morning it occurred to me why not use a hose?! oh my, it took me under 20 minutes to water ALL of my babies. #lifechanger

20.01.2022 Trying to get some form of normalcy back after being in holiday mode! I still have another four weeks off being that I work at a school. This gives me plenty of time to tend to my plant babies. How healthy are these Pothos water cuttings looking? I still have a few Golden Pothos plants for sale if youre interested PM me

20.01.2022 I just love being able to share cuttings with my friends, these are some I took from my Rhipsalis recently. Sharing the plant love

20.01.2022 What a difference a year makes! This philodendron very quickly outgrew its previous space and its grown 17 new leaves and a new shoot in this last year! I honestly barely think about care for this plant, I just water it when the leaves get droopy and shes happy as (dont mind my unfinished trims and unpainted mess )

20.01.2022 Plants just amaze me, from tiny seeds to little seedlings right before my eyes! Today I moved these Fatsia seedlings from their peat pellets to a slightly larger pot with some potting mix. I will still keep them in mini greenhouses but with all the vents open until theyre a bit bigger! Grow babies grow

20.01.2022 This is something Im a little excited about! Ill be introducing some of these at the market next weekend! Pop by and check out our stall Banjos New Norfolk Market next Saturday.

19.01.2022 Today I am re-potting, fertilising and generally caring for some very neglected babies today, whilst making a tight royal mess! Thought Id share an update of the rubber tree I took a cutting from! The main plant is doing really well, two new shoots. The cutting is not, so Ive moved it to water in hopes of growing roots from there. arent plants just amazing?

19.01.2022 Amidst all this chaos, weve popped our extension plans on hold for a while. Which means we are looking at improving our current space to make it more liveable. One of the things driving me crazy was that my rather large open pantry was on display. So Ive moved these curtains from our bedroom/livingroom to cover up the mess that is our pantry. This is just adding to the jungle vibes of our house.

18.01.2022 Here’s a little glimpse into my house of chaos and my watering routine, which I ‘try’ to do weekly. I often get asked how I care for so many plants, a hose. This is my new answer, it used to take me up to two hours to water all my plants, today it took me under 15 minutes to do my entire plant collection. I managed to make a mess twice, so I always carry a tea towel with my to soak up the extra water..

18.01.2022 Ive gone a little crazy painting pots lately decided to be more particular with what Ive got in my house and have a little continuity! But only a little. Also, how cute are these different rubber trees?!?

17.01.2022 I got these beautiful mini terrariums ready the other week for a market stall Ill be doing soon! With these awesome folks @kohanie_gardens @_claygeo and @emmaleebradbury. Come on down to the Banjos New Norfolk Market in the beautiful Derwent Valley on the 21st of December!

15.01.2022 I spent a few minutes potting up these cuties this morning the first lot of my peperomia cuttings that arent going in terrariums. The mother in-laws tongue cuttings took foreverrrrrr to get those roots so patience was key here.

15.01.2022 Finally not raining and windy long enough to spray my pots! Ready to hopefully plant directly in and some off to their new homes

14.01.2022 Monstera Monday this is a beautiful Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma (mini monstera) fairly new to my collection, seems to be quite happy in its new home I think it may outgrow its space in no time

13.01.2022 Arent these just so beautiful Ive got three Large Heart Leaf Philodendrons available in 10-13cm pots for $20ea. Multiple Golden Pothos and Neon Pothos $10-$15ea depending on size. These are both super low maintenance plants for any novice! I also have these cute pots available for only an extra $2 with a plant purchase, grey, white, navy and a coral/pink/redish colour.

12.01.2022 Wowsers. Was definitely time to repot this monster of a succulent! I dont have many succulents in my house, they tend to get leggy and unhappy quite fast. But this one has gone crazy in a very sunny window! I got it a few years ago and just now its started to struggle so I thought it may be time to repot, and it sure was! Ive popped it in a self watering pot as I was struggling to keep the water up to those thirsty roots.

11.01.2022 Ever noticed little water droplets on the end of your leaves? They are from excess moisture, youll often find them a day after watering I find them so pretty.

09.01.2022 Oh Satin Pothos you are a beauty! One of my newest plant purchases, and of course in a freshly painted pot.

09.01.2022 Rainy days are for uggs boots, dressing gowns and admiring your indoor plant life the calathea on the left is a newbie to my tiny home, they normally die on me but Im going to give this one my best shot! I just couldnt leave her behind.

08.01.2022 How adorable are these tiny terracotta pots?! All terracotta pots need to be sealed though, otherwise it soaks up all the water and your poor plants wont get what they need. Plants wont survive forever in them as theyre so small, but if you keep the water up to them theyll be ok for a while and look absolutely adorable.

08.01.2022 Some of the pots Ive painted over the last few months, theyre not perfect but its a bit of fun

08.01.2022 This, this is what happens when you try to sneak a fake plant into my home thinking she wont notice, shes got too many plants. Dont underestimate my hate for fake plants and the amount of time I spend looking at my real ones to see the intruder among them.. I bought a beautiful pot that unfortunately had this monstrosity in it, I immediately wanted to bin it but @krisashmac18 insisted they must have it. Now no one can. (Sound on)

07.01.2022 Heres a little glimpse into my house of chaos and my watering routine, which I try to do weekly. I often get asked how I care for so many plants, a hose. 07.01.2022 My newest pot purchase found its home amongst the jungle.

06.01.2022 Thought Id share another repotting video got my hands on these rather large peperomias today! But with my limited space I needed to pot them all up together. Guest appearance by my charming husband.

06.01.2022 I often get asked the question So, which plant is your favourite? I seriously love ALL my plants.. but.. this beauty! Shes been unfailing to me, I purchased this Red Vein Maranta 1 year ago. Picture 4 is when I got her and boy she has grown! What a difference a year makes. Kicking out new leaves constantly and never giving me any grief.

05.01.2022 Oh Chain of Hearts, you give many people grief. Thankfully Ive found the perfect spot and watering pattern and youre thriving in my tiny home. Ive found it needs much more light than I initially realised, she gets some beautiful afternoon sun for a couple of hours, about two metres from a large glass door. Super loose and well draining soil, dont over water!

05.01.2022 Sorry Ive been so quiet! Lifes busy. Today Im stuck at home with a very mild cold, but so as to not spread my germs Im housebound. I decided it was a good opportunity to do some potting up. Ive made 5 of these beautiful Terrariums with Pink Veined Fittonias! Arent they just gorgeous?! These are available for purchase $20 each. Super low maintenance! My other terrarium Ive had for 6 months now and Ive not needed to touch it. Theyre also a neat little size that wont take up much room at all! If youd like one let me know, I can either put some live moss, pebbles or leave the soil bare

04.01.2022 Lemon pots and Swiss Cheese plants Ive been having some fun painting terracotta pots! I recently re-potted three Swiss cheese vine plants into one pot together, in hopes itll be one large plant before long.

03.01.2022 I am exhausted! The market yesterday was windy and horrible sadly it does however mean Ive got some stock available to you all I will be posting over the next few days. To start us off Ive got two of these Terrariums left, both have a Silver Peace Lilys in them and live moss. They are a super low maintenance way to have some greenery in your home and these beauties are also quite small if youve got limited space! $20 each. PM me if youd like one

02.01.2022 Monstera Monday! Who could resist. This is a Monstera Adansonni, or more commonly known as the Swiss Cheese Vine for reasons Im sure I dont need to explain this one came in this adorable coconut hanging planter

01.01.2022 Oh my, isnt she a beauty? Peperomia Piccolo Banda. I couldnt leave the shop without this one. Peperomias seem to love my house, the light is just perfect for them. Because of this I buy every single one I see addiction? Definitely. I did a head count today, and after losing some plants over winter we have 126 houseplants. Thats not including the over 100 babies Ive got propagating.

01.01.2022 Market ready! Come on down the the Banjos New Norfolk Market tomorrow, its a big one. Ill have plants, cards and some scarves. Im sharing a stall with @_claygeo whos got some clay jewellery and @emmaleebradbury whos got some art and pot plant covers!

01.01.2022 Im so excited! My first ever flowering Hoya! After a little research it seems that Hoya plants need to be fully mature before they flower, which can take anywhere between 2-8 years I had no idea. Ive only had this beauty about a year, but it may have been quite mature before I got it. Lacunosa is the variety of Hoya, the flowers are oh so very tiny and smell absolutely amazing!
