22.01.2022 I know the past few weeks have been challenging for many South Australians. From day one we have been clear that we do not want any restrictions in place for o...ne day longer than they need to be. So I’m pleased to confirm that on Tuesday, December 1, restrictions in South Australia will be easing. These changes will only be in place for 2 weeks as we chart our course towards Christmas. The South Australian border restrictions with Victoria will be lifted completely from Tuesday, 1 December. I know this will be a huge relief to many families, business and communities as we head into the holiday season. But I continue to stress this point: we can and we must continue to act on the unequivocal health advice to keep SA safe and strong. I am so proud that we have worked together to beat this silent enemy, and to get through this united.

18.01.2022 Dear Junior Flippers, Current advice in from the PM and his news release tonight, Sunday 22nd of March 2020. Gyms and indoor sporting venues are to close as of Monday 23rd March from 12.00pm... We, at Junior Flippers (and the swimming community Australia wide) are unclear as to whether we fit into and what position we hold in this category. As this is the case, tomorrows swimming lessons WILL BE going ahead as planned (lucky for us we finish at 12.00pm!). This will give us time to liaise and seek clarification from Austswim and other Authorities to ensure we comply as regulated. Upon speaking with our contacts throughout the swimming community some pools are already closed, some pools are closing as from tomorrow and some havent mentioned their plans as yet. Again, we fully respect your decision to swim or not to swim and we respectfully ask you to notify us if you will not be attending your scheduled swimming lessons. Please stay tuned to our updates and if you have any queries please do not hesitate to check in with us.

If you are one of the 98 people yet to respond to our text message about returning to swimming, PLEASE reply so we have full understanding of what our return is going to look like. One chair for attending adult, the other for your bag. Please dont move our chairs, we are being covid safe with social distancing! If chairs are continuously being moved, we will have to remove them all together. #besafe #stillswimming

09.01.2022 I am having sooooo many issues with trying to send text messages. This is the message we are sending out. Friday 22/5/2020 at 3pm. Please respond via text to me 0417809257... Amended info as things have now changed: Junior flippers Return post Covid-19 - we are excited to announce our return!!! So, what does this mean .... as from Monday 25th of May (week 5 of term 2) we look forward to being back in the pool (excluding Saturdays) However, things will look a little different for a few weeks. While restrictions are set at 20 people per facility. Then as from Saturday 13th of June (after the Queens birthday long weekend - week 7 of Term 2) our regular swimming session times should be able to recommence. We are asking that only 1 adult per family attend with swimmers. To assist in a smooth change over, in this time we ask that you dont arrive earlier then necessary for water entry and you dismiss as early as possible after your lesson. Arriving with bathers on and a dressing gown will be most affective and leaving in the dressing gown to return home will be recommended (for the swimming adults in baby classes also). There will be no change room facilities but toilet is there if needed but is not to be used for changing. There will be separate entry and exit doors, please adhere and follow directional signage. No toys or shared items in the play pen will be available. Play pen should only be used if necessary for minimal time. Limited seating, allocated to a set space and area. These chairs are not to be moved away from assigned spot. 2 chairs per swimmer, 1 for yourself other for your bag. It is asked you use hand sanitiser upon arrival and when leaving. Change tables will be limited but we ask that they are only used if putting nappies on a child. For the remainder of term 2 we will have smaller class sizes to help with social distancing and pool space. Please note: all of the above is subject to change without notice. We are doing our best to actively and safely return but we NEED everyone to help and work together. There is a government Covid-safe app, we strongly ask that all families download this app. In aid to help track an outbreak if such occurs. Please respond and outline your preferred day and also your availability. Thanks

This mum is nailing the role of parenting 4, example of how you can join lessons here with us while juggling multiple kids Number 1 child dropped off at school, comes to swimming a different afternoon. Number 2 on babysitting duty on the side until her lesson in half an hour. ... Number 3 in the water having a splash load of fun. Number 4 sitting and waiting until she reaches swimming age, listening and learning pool side til then

08.01.2022 Well done to our committed Saturday swimming folk. Today wasnt a pleasant day to be out and about, let alone jump in a swimming pool. But you guys took it in your stride and welcomed it with open arms. It was great and we loved it.

I have finally pulled myself up for some air and We are working through and wrapping up from last term, the 2-3 weeks missed due to government shut down will be credited to your account as it was out of everyones control to not swim. Further to our Facebook notification of last night in relation to the latest COVID-19 updates we regrettably advise that we will be cancelling ALL scheduled swimming lessons as of Monday 23rd of March 2020 from 12pm. Upon speaking directly with Austswim this morning we have been advised that we do not come under the new restrictions as we are deemed a private venue, and not a sports centre or recreational grounds. In this daily changing crisis we feel it ...is the right and safe decision to keep us and our community safe. Please check in if you have any questions and we will be in touch over the coming weeks. 03.01.2022 Proud mum moment today... this is my 3 year old Levi. He has been in and out the water all of his life but finally Ive put time and effort into my kids l and there swimming (still room for improvement but Im stoked) .! So happy he could help use our new pool equipment that we built with his poppy. Kids loved our new platform, this is to help pool depth of some of our little ones that cant yet reach the bottom at the shallow end. Thanks Dad for your building skills

03.01.2022 Claire Dunlop and I worked a few hours today, cleaning and preparing ready for Mondays return. Things are a little different and we thought we would share so you can show the little ones the change. Few things to add but heres the progress so far.

03.01.2022 Morning Flippers Family. We need your help. If/when we return to the water we are going to need your help with restrictions and density requirements. We currently believe and for safety reasons want to run max of 10 bodies in the water (excluding instructors) for the remainder of this term. This mean baby class need to reduce in size, and Saturdays will need to be managed. If you can/will consider moving from your 930/1030 weekday time to 1230 this would be ever so helpful.... Saturday peeps, I will be in touch as to what we need to change in order to comply with numbers. Appreciate your patient and understanding at this time. its not easy, Stay safe
