17.01.2022 We held a small exhibition of pictures at the local Oktoberfest with the theme being "Why We Live Here". Its a chance to show the visitors more about what its like to live here. The People's Choice Award voting was spread out over a number of pictures, but my picture "Dark Nights" just beat Kelly's "Songs of the Blue Wren" by a vote, with quite a few of the others close behind. The winner of the raffle was Eve, she won a framed print and chose Julies picture Amazing Landscapes to be framed. Thanks to everyone who voted and stopped by for a chat. Hope to see some of you at the camera club.

16.01.2022 This shot is from the boat harbour this morning. Monthly camera club meeting is this Monday at 7pm. Meet at the sea rescue tower on the northwest side of the harbour.

16.01.2022 Myself and some of the other camera members will be at the marine rescue tower in the Jurien boat harbour this Saturday between 10:00 and 12:00. Come down if you have any questions about the competition or need help entering. You can even bring your pictures down on USB or your phone and we will help you get them entered. To find the tower, head down to the harbour and keep driving past the launching ramps, past the boatyard and boat lifters and past fisheries and the fishermans co-op. The tower is the very last building before you hit the beach. Will be in the training room on the lower floor. Hope to see you there.

02.01.2022 At this years Easter Fair the camera club will be holding a photo exhibition titled "Why we live here". Each of the club members has been asked to submit a few images that show the things we enjoy the most about living here. While you are at the fair please stop by and have a look, we are located near Metro Food in the function room between the main area and the oval.... You can have a vote for your favourites in our people's choice award. Everyone who votes will go into the draw to win the print of their favourite image. The exhibition is possible because we got a grant from Bankwest and used it to purchase the stands and some mounting boards needed for the exhibition.
