14.01.2022 Unfortunately COVID-19 continues to be in the news and a pervasive presence in our lives, regardless of the infection numbers. We are very fortunate here in Australia to have such low infection numbers, but restrictions to social gatherings are still in place and anxiety in the community is still high. Many people are limiting their social contact due to concerns about the virus and this has increased feelings of isolation and loneliness. We have therefore launched the HowYa...Going? Project to make sure that no one in our community falls through the cracks. The purpose of this project is to strengthen the social bonds in our community by connecting individuals for meaningful and supportive conversations on a weekly basis. The project is off to a good start and we are looking to expand it further so that we can maximize our support for each other at this difficult time. If you would like to participate, you will be matched with a person to call while your number will be given to another participant who will call you.
