20.01.2022 Dear K2Dance Community This is A Young K2Dance single mother of 2 and a close friend of the two Directors. She is a fun loving and upbeat woman and the tower of strength for almost all her friends and family. Rachelle is a healthy and fit 40 year old single mother of two angelic young girls aged 3 and 6. She is an Aunt, a Sister, a daughter, a boss of her own family day care and a beloved friend to all. She is needed, she is loved, she is YOUNG with an incredible life ahead... of her. Unfortunately we all received the most unbearable news last week that Rachelle has Breast Cancer. She must undergo a double mastectomy this week and chemotherapy in 3 weeks. Her positivity, strength and determination has been unwavering - However, this financial burden of treatment is significant and bewildering. Her only income is her own business her Family Day Care and her medical team have advised her against this work due to the high risk of infection with young children around. This coupled with recovery time from major surgery means she will have no source of income for a significant amount of time. To make matters more challenging her parents and family are in New Zealand where the wait time to arrive and help is 6 weeks due to Covid restrictions. We would like to relieve her of this financial hurdle and help in all ways possible so that she can put up the biggest fight possible against this situation. The most amazing gift of all is that of giving. It unites us in a practical and meaningful way. Financial Assistance is one way we can all make a real difference right now. Give only what you can. Then Share! Rachelle is a strong woman with an incredibly positive and fun loving attitude - we have no doubt she will kick Cancer to the curb !!
