16.01.2022 As we are coming into spring and the silly season it's safe to say I am very busy - already booked out a week in advance! Things are also going to get a little crazier for myself, at the beginning of September with my partner having surgery at the RPA in Sydney after being diagnosed with a rare bone disease. I will still be working during this time and travelling back and forth and juggling the kids so bare with me - As some of you know, Jim is extremely accident prone..quit...e well known for catching angle grinders with his forearm, but he didn't injure himself...this time If you know you will require an appointment within the next month I do advise booking ahead to avoid disappointment

02.01.2022 One thing I never thought I would be was a Mother. I remember sitting in a professors office at 24 signing myself into 12 months of immunotherapy treatment for Melanoma and my mum sitting there questioning if we should freeze my eggs so that I could one day become a mother. There are studies out there for and against that pregnancy hormones can bring Melanoma on and I never thought that it was a possibility being 24 and having cancer twice already. Fast forward three years... later to My amazing Melanoma Doctor and Surgeon who has treated me since I was 21 who sat with Jim and I and being the no sugar-coated doctor I love telling me that I should wait 5 years but then you may not be here so personally if this is what you want then go for it but know the risks and that your baby may grow up without a Mother. 12 months after that meeting I was 30 weeks pregnant with Mila I would like to thank each and everyone of you for your patience, loyalty, most of all not laughing at me when I turn up looking like I did not sleep the night before because a little girl decided 2am meant time to play And allowing me to continue the job I love whilst also being a Mum Happy Mothers Day
