If you cannot attend this meeting a proxy to us the week before, will be accepted.... PLEASE NOTE: If you have not been invited either in writing via post, or via email, you will not be covered for any expenses you incur this means travelling to, and/or accommodation for this meeting. As you would be aware, the list of contacts for invites was agreed upon and updated by family members at meeting held at Murgon Motel in June 2015, and also the previous meeting which was held in Murgon at the Golf Club in 2014. 02.01.2022 Tonight was the official launch of the Memorial’s new exhibition ‘For Country, For Nation’; our first exhibition dedicated exclusively to exploring Aboriginal a...nd Torres Strait Islander stories of military service in times of war and peace. Squadron Leader Gary Oakley, National President of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Veterans and Services Association and member of the Gundungurra tribe from the Blue Mountains officially launched the exhibition that he said ‘was a long time coming’ and allowed ‘our stories to be told.’ The Royal Australian Navy’s Bungaree dancers and John Schumann performed for guests who were then invited to preview of the exhibition. This exhibition will be open until September 2017, with highlight tours held every Tuesday at 11.30 am until the end of November.
