22.01.2022 FROM HOANI TE KOWHAI TIMIHOU Coach For Women’s League Tag Preseason: Doggies vs Alkimos Well today’s game was a great start from the ladies. A few of our girls were quite new to league tag and a few of the girls who were still relatively new to the team still put in 100% and performed very well. Even though the result didn’t go our way and doesn’t reflect the game as most would have seen it, there were a tonne of positives to take away from the game. Proud of all the girls who took part today and can’t wait to get into a proper training session to build on the solid foundation the girls already have.

20.01.2022 Round 12 - Seniors Only Friday our SPK Womens Tackle will be heading to Ellenbrook Rabbitohs Rugby League Club to vs the Bunnies. Show the ladies some support and head there for Kick off at 6:40pm... Saturday our Val Murphy Men's will be heading to North Beach Rugby League Football Club to vs the Joondalup Giants Rugby League Club for a 12:30pm Kick off. Our players would love to see some familiar Doggie supporters there to cheer them on. And because I realised we haven't shared the Junior Grand Final Fixtures yet either I've added them. Again we are calling on all our Bulldog families and supporters to head to Willagee Bears Junior Rugby League, Webber Reserve, Willagee on Sunday to cheer on our U15's team. 11.01.2022 That brings us to the end of an another amazing season for the junior rugby league and what better way to finish it with our under 15s winning their grand final. It’s unfortunate this years competition did not allow for semi finals as we would have seen all our juniors in competition make it through to semifinals and with the talent and skills displayed through out the season, we are confident all our juniors would have made it through to finals. Yesterday the club witnes...sed the true strength of its supporters, despite the 4 season weather, our staunch supporters stood firm and strong to support the U15s boys as they prepared to play the mighty South Perth Lions. The tunnel that lead our 15s onto the field stretched from the sideline to midfield and the intense roar which hyped the boys was heard from a far. On behalf of both the club and the under 15s, we would like to express our deepest appreciation to all of you who took part in showing your support yesterday, was humbling to see the amount of support the club has. To all our junior members/players, well done for the season and congratulations to the under 15s. Would love to see all that support now behind our seniors as they tie up the season.

11.01.2022 Round 13 - Seniors Only The final competition round for our Seniors is this weekend. Unfortunately our Women's SPK Tackle Team game has again been forfeited. Sadly this means the season is now over for our women's team and we'd like to take this opportunity to thank all our players for this season. We know it was a new sport for some of our players and they came against some teams with a couple of years of games on their side. Despite this our women turned up to train...ing and games and played with strength, heart and determination. Looking forward to what next season will bring for our Women's Team. Saturday is also the final competition round before Elimination Finals for our Val Murphy Team. This week they will be playing against South Perth Rugby League Club at Webber Reserve, Willagee with kick off at 12:30pm. We'd love to see club supporters head to Webber Reserve to cheer on our players for their last competition round. Best of luck to our men's this week. #upthedoggies

And a big welcome must go to Jackson and Caleb who come along to join in as well for their first ever run. Well done boys! It was fantastic to see everyone get a good run and all players being mindful of the younger players or those with less skills and making sure they all go...t to have the ball. 03.01.2022 Final Junior Ladder for 2020. If it hadn’t been for COVID and the season format being changed, we would have had all 3 of our competition grade teams in the Finals this year. Our U12s and U13s teams both worked exceptionally well this season and with a number of players being new to league there was a lot for these 2 teams to learn.... You should all be proud of how you’ve played this season and we look forward to having all our players back next year for another successful season.

02.01.2022 Women’s SPK Tackle - Round 10 Recap Coach - Poamo Joondalup 30 South Perth Kalamunda 4... Abate the score, the girls had turned up to play this week after the previous weeks flat effort. With no subs on the bench and with quite a few the girls recovering from colds/the flu during the week, didnt look to self-preserve themselves at all as we went on to play the fastest 25 minutes of footy we've been involved in all year. A hectic backward/forward affair against the Giants with very little breaks saw us defend like their was no tomorrow, unfortunately we couldnt keep it up as once the Giants scored, they did so a couple times to end the half. Playing periods of the game with only 12 players stretched us but the difference been the effort and desperation was with us this week. The girls can hold their heads high after this game, especially our new girls to Rugby League as they're turning a corner abit in learning the game and been confident/backing themselves. On to a much needed bye to rest up and recover, great effort ladies! #upthedoggies
