However, some companies may still have this as a minimum condition under their certified agreements (voted on by employees and lodged with the FWC). Also, companies may like to develop their own policies to deal with this issue.

07.01.2022 New minimum wage rates just announced by the Fair Work Commission. New absolute adult minimum wage to increase from $17.70 per hour to $18.29 per hour, all Modern Award minimum wages to increase by 3.3%. Applies from first pay period on or after 1 July 2017.
