This is again due to balancing work shifts, family time and studying. It's been a hard decision to make as I'm missing Kangatraining alot but I know that by 2020 I'll be ready to share fresh routines and energy with you all, so hold in there If you have questions in regards to babywearing, safe return to exercise after having a baby or Kangatraining i...n the time being, please feel free to send me a PM. You can find other local Kangatrainers nearby if you are keen to give a class a go or missing your Kangatraining fix. 11.01.2022 Bicornuate uterus #repost @kangatrainingaustralia @empoweredbirthproject @medicaltalks shares: - - - - - -... These twins were born from a uterus that is shaped like a heart! They were miraculously born due to the fact that the condition is pathological. A bicornuate uterus is a uterus that has two horns and a heart shape, just like this one. In general, the uterus, tubes, and upper vagina develop from the Müllerian ducts in the absence of anti Müllerian hormone. In particular, the fusion of these ducts will form the appropriate structures and their canalizations. Therefore, if fusion failure occurs at the level of the uterus, multiple uterine anomalies may result depending on the quantity of fusion failure. As a result, the lower part of the uterus is unitary while the upper part is bifurcated. Pregnancies in a bicornuate uterus are considered high risk ones and require extra monitoring because of association with poor reproduction potential. They are associated with recurrent pregnancy loss, malpresentation of the fetus (breech or transverse positions), and preterm birth. It’s questionable whether it is also associated with infertility but studies did not confirm it. Patients with a bicornuate uterus have good reproductive outcomes, but they might require a reconstructive intervention called metroplasty which is done by hysteroscopy (access to the uterine cavity with an endoscope). __ #twinmagic #bicornuateuterus #bellybirth #csection #empoweredbirthproject

10.01.2022 ||WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT VAGINAS...|| Raising Ziggy writes this so well. I too experienced a very casual GP visit at 6 weeks. No GP asked about my pelvic floor integrity, how I was healing after stitches. 2nd time around the visit was even more brief than the first time. No mention of a Women's Health Physio, a term I didn't learn until becoming a Kangatrainer. But we need to talk more about vaginas, about pelvic floor health, whether pre or post childbirth. There are alot of... silent sufferers out there. There are alot of people who dont know where to find their pelvic floor, let alone Kegal exercises and how posture and breathing play a huge part in its optimal function. Do yourself a favour and make sure your doctor does a thorough postnatal check up. Ask questions. Ask for a Women's Health Physio referral, particularly if you are experiencing symptoms of incontinence or a prolapse. There are refunded visits you can access. No one can teach you better about your pelvic floor then these experts. A strong and supple pelvic floor will support you for life

10.01.2022 There is nothing more mentally taxing than being a mother. Be kind to yourself and look after your mental health first

08.01.2022 #Repost from @midwifemarley Many new dads will feel a rush of love and protective instincts when their new baby is born. Some might not feel this connection immediately thus taking slightly longer to form a bond. There are things a new dad can do to help massage, going for a walk and soothing baby when he cries. It's good for dad to get involved in these activities for bonding but also to help relieve some of the pressure from mum. There is a popular misconcep...tion that a dad must feed the baby to form a bond - this is simply not true. There are many women who exclusively breastfeed without expressing and the babies have fantastic relationships with their dads. My 2 1/2 year old is one of those - he wont leave his dad alone now but used to be very clingy to me! If a baby is formula fed from the start then obviously dad can help with that but the bond wont be any different to the ones that don't feed them. . Don't expect too much - a newborn baby who is breastfed will likely settle better when with mum on the breast. Don't take this personal, its just how babies are programmed to be. In fact babies will tend to settle better with whoever the main carer throughout the day is - regardless of feeding. By getting involved in the activities listed above, over time your baby will grow to know and love you as their daddy! . . #kangatrainingberwick #postnatalfitness #midwifemarley #dads #father #dadtobe #newdad #breastfeeding #bottlefeeding #4thtrimester #bonding #midwife #postnatal #postpartum #skintoskin #family #love #normalisebreastfeeding #therapy #newborn #newbaby #thirdtrimester See more
