25.01.2022 RESERVES FOOTBALL COACH ANNOUNCEMENT! Up-and-coming local legend Ashley Wood has re-committed to the Reserves Football Coaching role for Season 2021! On the back of an undefeated 2020 season (yes, we know like a lot of others!), Ash is pumped to put his skills and knowledge to the test with the goal of lifting the overall profile of our loyal reserves footballers.... Ash will bring with him a wealth of talent through his football, cricket and community connections, and is one of the club’s key personnel in helping us strengthen our partnership with the Broadford Cricket Club. Ash also runs the Broadford Auskick, already having previously organised many SUPER CUTE senior half-time Auskick feature games throughout the 2019 season, and even coordinated a special training session ‘under lights’ between the Auskickers and senior footballers. King of the Kids! Ash’s passion for sport and community connectedness shines through in everything he commits to and we are so lucky to still have him and his beautiful family part of the BFNC family, for Season 2021! #nextGen #broadfordfnc2021

11.01.2022 Oh what a night! BFNC held our annual season launch last night at our club rooms, with one of the biggest turnouts we’ve had! After one last training before our first game in the new league, the club was bouncing to get season 2021 on the road... Of course these nights can’t run smoothly without an enormous amount of help, and we’d love to show our appreciation to those who did. Russell comes to us from the Calder Cannons, and brings with him significant experience in diverse managerial, leadership, coaching and mentoring roles from local to elite level football. Having worked across many different sporting clubs such as Hurstbridge FC, Craigieburn FC, Oakleigh Chargers and Calder Cannons, Russell has built an impressive resume that we know will see... him create a fresh, innovative and fun approach to BFNC football and its game style. Russell is also eager to work in closely with the committee, all players, volunteers and community as a whole, to build on the growing positive culture. Russell is energetic, hardworking and passionate about developing both men, women and youth to reach their full potential as both football players and community leaders. Ash not only boasts an impressive resume that features comprehensive coaching and playing experience, elite qualifications and further education, BUT his genuine passion for the Broadford FNC and local sporting community is what makes him an even bigger asset to the Netball Department, Club and League as a... whole. Ash is also currently the Head Coach and Championship Team Coach at VNL Club Peninsula Waves , having risen through the ranks of local to elite coaching and mentoring. Ash has also personally represented both Victoria and Australia in Men’s Championship Netball over the journey, with many individual and team accolades - including premierships with the mighty BFNC back in the day! 04.01.2022 || STATEMENT FROM OUR PRESIDENT Senior Football Coach || Today, I wish to announce that Jamie Kelly will be stepping down as our Senior Football Coach. A Best Club Person Award recipient, Jamie and his family have been an integral part of the BFNC for many years. Jamie coached our Under 19.5s footballers to finals in 2018 before transitioning into the Senior Coaching role in 2019 alongside the boys. Since then, Jamie has been such a huge personality to have around t...he club and I am sure will still continue supporting us all as we enter an exciting era in our clubs 130-year history. Jamie Kelly has also been a long-time Major Sponsor of the club through his business Kellys Country Homes, proudly and openly supporting the work of our revitalised, young committee, as we strive to become a club of choice in the region. On behalf of the Broadford Football Netball Club committee, members, sponsors, volunteers and players, I would like to sincerely thank Jamie Kelly, and his family, for their support, dedication and genuine passion for us all to succeed on and off the field and court.
