25.01.2022 The word ‘Temple’ in gold lettering really stands out against the black background of the signage. More hanging colourful geraniums cascading down the red facade of this iconic Dublin pub.

25.01.2022 So excited that the very popular Warragul Arts Market is on tomorrow Saturday, 21st November 2020 @ 9:00am - 1:00pm at Civic Park, Warragul. To celebrate the occasion, I’ll be showcasing ‘Wings’, alcohol inks on yupo paper beautifully framed. I’ll have on show new abstract paintings created during COVID lockdown so you can take a close-up look at the textured detail. ... If you are looking for something to do tomorrow, the Warragul Arts Market can cater for all your gift ideas leading into Xmas. Come and say G’day, you’ll see me at site #24.

23.01.2022 This short video shows me using a blow torch to heat the top coat of resin. The air bubbles in the heated resin rise to the top surface and pop to leave a smooth glass-like finish.

22.01.2022 Just so refreshing to paint intuitively with a colour palette in mind. I’m free to express myself by using different tools and mediums to manipulate the paint to generate texture and interest in the piece.

22.01.2022 I’m working on the top layer to finish off this round mixed media art. By using a workable fixative in between layers it allows for the paint and crayons to fuse to the surface to prevent smudging when working on the next layer.

21.01.2022 I started a new alcohol inks piece using four new Copic colours: Bisque, Ocean Mist, Prussian Blue, Amethyst. I apply isopropyl alcohol on to the tip of a stylus so I can control the spreading of the inks which form translucent circles on the yupo paper.

21.01.2022 The first layer is done so it’s time to peel away the glad wrap to reveal the shapes that form on the surface. Now it’s time to tweak the composition. I’ll start by scanning the artwork and make the necessary adjustments by retaining what looks pleasing and pouring fluid paint over the areas that look out of place.

20.01.2022 A close-up video showing the details, composition, texture and colour palette of my interpretation of ‘The Temple Bar’. I used alcohol and acrylic inks, acrylic paints and water soluble crayons to create this mixed media painting.

20.01.2022 Playing around with mixed media today using floetrol, pouring medium, isopropyl alcohol, water and acrylic paints and inks. It looks messy at the end of the first layer but once the paint and inks dry, I can reassess and work on the second layer.

19.01.2022 What great vibes at the Warragul Arts Market this morning. It was so fantastic to meet everyone who came to my stall to buy, browse, subscribe to my email list and take a business card. I thank you for your interest in my work and appreciate your support. This short video displays my artwork, prints and other home decor items on offer at my KangaFineArt art market stall.... The showcase piece was of interest and the most common remark was I can see a butterfly, which pleased me immensely as this piece is aptly title ‘Wings’. I’ll be back at the next market in December, the last one for 2020.

11.01.2022 In this close-up snippet of ‘Croatian Summer III’, I can see the sun peaking through floating pink clouds surrounded by clear blue sky with beaming soft peach sun rays. What do you see in this close-up?

09.01.2022 The Temple Bar has beautiful hanging floral baskets which I adore so much and captured in this mixed media artwork. The hanging floral baskets remind me of a floral waterfall cascading down the red facade.

09.01.2022 This is another section featured in ‘Croatian Summer III’ that is full of organic shapes to awaken the visual senses. I can see floating buds, petals and leaves falling from an angelic sky. How do you connect to this section of the artwork?
