25.01.2022 It's R U OK?Day, a reminder that every day is a day to start a conversation that could change a life. Today we're calling on Australians to learn what to say after R U OK? so they can keep the conversation going when someone says they're not OK. There's more to say after R U OK?... Learn what to say when listening with an open mind Learn what to say when encouraging action Learn what to say when checking in Learn how to continue a conversation that could change a life. When we know what to say next we can help someone open up and find pathways to support long before they're in crisis. Learn what to say next and help us move closer to our vision of a world where we're all connected and are protected from suicide. Head to www.ruok.org.au/how-to-ask Credit: R U OK Day

19.01.2022 These gorgeous Kangamums totally rock our girls night out! So much chat and laughter over good food and bubbles Thank you ladies for the good time and for being part of our lovely Kanga village

19.01.2022 Many of our Kangamums are having rough nights lately with their little ones, including myself! We totally understand the feeling of being zombie-fied, low in energy & motivation, and the last thing you might want to do is to attend Kanga class But do you know a session of Kanga would actually make you feel much much better? Exercising produces various happy hormones in your body such as serotonin and endorphin! That is why we always feel Kanga-high at the end of class We were sharing our rough night stories with each other just now and it felt so comforting knowing that you're not alone in this So come along to Kanga class no matter if you had good or bad nights! We're always here with you in person or virtually

14.01.2022 When mums were busy with their floorwork, the babies got busy in their own way as well! They babbled and sang loudly, played with their toys, played someone else's toys, explored the room, climbed on mum, baby-talked with other babies & the list goes on! Today was our last Monday session for Term 3 Well done to all the mamas who have joined us on Mondays for the past 10 weeks! You have put in so much effort to get out of the house with your little one, sweat it out in cla...ss, fill up your mumma cup as we shared stories with one another and did something for YOU each week Registration for Term 4 is now open and there is a 10% discount for Early Bird registration before 1st October! 14.01.2022 We laughed so much at class today! We laughed at the babies' funny antics, their loud babbles/singing during the dance (which were reduced to silence halfway through), dance bloopers, our jelly legs at the end of class and shared stories of our #mumslife Next week is our last week of Term 3 but it's not too late to join us for a trial at just $7 Message us to register a spot!

13.01.2022 Our Kangamamas are the sweetest mums EVER! In class today: we looked out for each other and our bubbas, lending a hand whenever needed the mums were so patient with my limited wefie skill and even ended up crouching with the laptop (as I wanted to include our mums on screen) everyone chipped in to clean up the studio after class (you ladies are so kind! )... we rewarded ourselves with a coffee/lunch date afterwards and chatted about our #mumslife Everyone is welcomed to join our village! Message us to sign up for a $7 trial class

13.01.2022 This is why we do pelvic floor relaxation at the end of each class Posted @withregram @mypelvicfloormuscles Hello friends! Many people have never heard of or connected with their PFM or Pelvic Floor Muscles. ... For those that have, most of their time is spent figuring out how to squeeze them and make them work correctly. Most of the time, relaxing or "letting go" of the pelvic floor muscles is overlooked and not emphasized. Imagine what that does to these muscles overtime! What if you were constantly squeezing your hand into a fist? Overtime, would your hand get stiff, contracted, and not work as well? Absolutely! The same concept applies to the pelvic floor. It's very important that these muscles relax while using the toilet and during penetration. In fact, learning to relax or "let go" of the pelvic floor muscles can actually improve your "kegels" or squeezing of the pelvic floor muscles! Happy pelvic floor muscle training friends! Jeanice

12.01.2022 Happy Father's Day to all the amazing Dads and Father Figures! We appreciate all your hard work Have an awesome day!

Many exciting things are happening in the new term including our outdoor classes and stage performance at the Canning Show Early bird discount of 10% is still ongoing until 1st October! 10.01.2022 GIVING BACK IN AUGUST Massive THANK YOU to all the Kangamums who supported our donation drive for Little Things for Tiny Tots throughout the month of August. We collected lots of new and pre-loved items for babies and new mums, as well as raised $35 from the gold coin donations If you would like to donate to this wonderful charity that helps WA families in need, do head over to their page at Little Things for Tiny Tots. Your contribution matters!

10.01.2022 We are so excited to have Rebekah from @completephysiopalmyra visiting our class next Monday to chat with our mums about pelvic floor health and postnatal care Kangatraining is much more than just an exercise class for mums, it is also a platform for mums to gain information and support to take better care of themselves If you would like to join us next Monday, do message us and we'll get in touch

10.01.2022 Love our Mondays! We felt so amazing after moving our bodies and sweating it out to upbeat songs Special thanks to Rebekah from Complete Physiotherapy Palmyra for sharing her extensive knowledge on pelvic floor health and postpartum care. The mums thoroughly enjoyed her session with many questions being answered and some of them got their abs checked as well. It is so important for women to get checked by a women's health physio after birth so that any issues can be addressed as early as possible. If you need further info on how to reach a women's health physio, let us know and we'll help you connect to one near you.

10.01.2022 We see, hear and feel you mamas! You're not alone in this

10.01.2022 This is such a great visual to show how we engage our core muscles. Remember we're not just pulling in our belly button to spine, we are bringing in the whole abdominal wall (like a corset) back towards the spine Posted @withregram @getmomstrong Quick visual showing the difference between sucking in and engaging your core. Can you spot the difference? Look at my ribs and shoulders! ... I have way more info on proper breathing in my IG TV and an entire stories tab dedicated to it. Breath is everything. Almost every woman I know breathes backwards. Once you change it, your whole world opens.

09.01.2022 MUMS AND BUBS PICNIC AT THE PARK Thank you to all the mums who came for the picnic with their little ones this morning We had a great time chatting with each other while enjoying all the yummy food! The bubbas had fun interacting amongst themselves as well A big thank you to @city_of_canning for supporting this event through the Resilience Grant. The funding has helped many new mums feel less isolated during the COVID-19 pandemic.

09.01.2022 Today's weather was dreary but after a session of dancing and sweating out with these mamas, we felt really fantastic!!! Looking forward to our Bring a Family Member special next week! Give us a message if you're keen to try out a class

05.01.2022 Sending love to those who need them If you need a listening ear, we are here for you. Posted @withregram @cope.org.au This week is Birth Trauma Awareness Week. According to the Australasian Birth Trauma Association @birthtrauma.org.au 1 in 3 Australian women identify their birth as traumatic - and partners can experience birth-related trauma, too.... Birth trauma can be physical, psychological or a combination of both. This year's theme is "journeys" - a chance for families to #starttheconversation and share their stories and their road to recovery. As part of COPE's The Mum Drum, @rachelxwatts of Yummy Mummies, spoke candidly her traumatic birth experience with her first son, Harvey. Rachel and her husband Jayson describe the unplanned events that unfolded at birth, and the profound impact this has had on them. They also share their advice with others who are navigating a similar experience. You can watch this episode on our site here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=S9dkT76R8vw It's important to remember that recovering from a traumatic brith can take time. Find some tips and strategies to help you recover on our site here: https://www.cope.org.au//recovering-from-a-traumatic-birth/ Image via @postpartumstress #birthtrauma #birthtraumaawarenessweek #starttheconversation

05.01.2022 It's a hot hot day but we kept our cool indoors and got to enjoy a good burn from our workout tracks instead We also had a lovely visit from Joanne with her amazing @mummactiv range of pregnancy and nursing activewear. 04.01.2022 We had a KangaCousin joining us for Family Week today So nice to have a family member dancing and working out together Here's a snippet of us having a great time dancing Thank you Kangatraining Taranaki for the original choreo . .... . . . 03.01.2022 Sometimes all you need to get through the week is to get out of the house, get your feel-good-hormones up with a workout and chat with mummas who understand you. Those are exactly what the mummas achieved in our class today and we congratulated each other for all our big and small wins We are also almost reaching the end of our Term 4 and thus we are on a celebratory mode! Can't wait for our girls night out and Christmas party!!! Kangamums please check our closed group for the details Come join us next week for our Christmas themed classes and party afterwards! DM us to register for either a trial class ($7) or a casual class.
