25.01.2022 Living sustainably often goes hand-in-hand with living minimally. Not only is there an overabundance of stuff in the world nowadays, a lot of it can easily be replaced with a reusable that's a lot better for the Earth. When we first started our zero-waste lifestyle all those years ago, we discovered how many things we didn't actually need anymore. We are considered with the things we do buy in a number of different ways. Some of the big questions we find ourselves asking ...before a purchase have now grown to include things like : - Do I need this? - Will I use this? - Do I LOVE this? - Is it harmful to the planet? - Is it ethically / sustainably sourced? Asking these questions have helped eliminate a LOT of unnecessary things in our lives, and we wanted to share with you something of things we no longer need to buy! Head over to the blog to read more See more

25.01.2022 Eco tip ~ Shop in bulk when you can! We know this isn't exactly a ground-breaking tip as it's something we're constantly talking about. BUT this gorgeous image is such a good example of how to make doing it work for YOU and your lifestyle. We understand that the idea of shopping in bulk can seem intimidating, but we have great news ~ it's not an 'all or nothing' situation. For example, we like to head to the bulk food store before our full grocery shop to see what we c...an buy in bulk first, then we head to the weekend market or supermarket to grab the rest... When we can't buy an item in bulk or package-free, we aim to find the next best thing with as little packaging as possible. Aluminium cans over plastic is a great example! How do you make shopping in bulk work for you? @wastenot_want See more

22.01.2022 Traditional plastic toothbrushes are made from hard, non-recyclable plastic and nylon, and can take hundreds of years to decompose. Toothbrushes are an essential, everyday item, so it is no surprise that more than 1 billion toothbrushes are disposed of every year. Instead, why not swap to a Bamboo Toothbrush? Simply pull the bristles out at the end of it's life (we recommend swapping your toothbrush every 3 months) and pop the handle in the garden or your compost bin. It's completely biodegradable. They also make great stakes to support the your plants + garden

07.01.2022 Disposable Makeup Wipes need a rebrand. They are terrible for the environment. They're worse than plastic bottles and plastic bags - used for a matter of minutes by billions of people every single day. We looked it up : 20 million makeup wipes are discarded and thrown out each day, making them the third most wasteful product in the world. Our Reusable Makeup Remover Pads are made from eco-friendly, organic bamboo and organic cotton. Once used, simply place into the wash bag they come with and place in the washing machine.
