25.01.2022 Starting to build my gallery up again after loosing all my images. No place better to start than the absolutely stunning Serenity Falls situated in the Buderim State Forest. I was very lucky and extremely happy to get this gorgeous place all to myself for about 40 minutes this morning. I always think about the reaction of the first person to stumble across this amazing place, they must of thought they walked straight into paradise. CLICK ON THE IMAGE FOR FULL SIZE ... 24.01.2022 Old Woman Island. Mudjimba Beach. If you haven't already read the dreamtime story about Old Woman Island, why it is there, and how its name came about I suggest have a read. Its a wonderful story and easily found on the internet. Such a beautiful special place. :)... Enjoy your weekend. Old Woman Island Mudjimba Community Page Mudjimba Beach

23.01.2022 Tilly and Jardel.

23.01.2022 ENDLESS Its quite breathtaking standing there alone, on a deserted beach just myself and the stars. Looking up though makes me feel kind of small. Somewhat insignificant. Staring up at billions of stars and even beyond into the vast open space I often wonder. Does it ever end ?... I wanted to try and capture the Milky Way Core rising from Old Woman Island. I have only been shooting Astro for a couple of years and with the light pollution in the background from Maroochydore and Moololaba i knew i was going to have some issues, but i thought id have a go anyway. The image contains five single vertical images stitched together to fit the Milky Way arch in. 25.04.2017 11:11 pm

19.01.2022 The weather has been quite warm the past couple of days here on the Sunshine Coast. Normally after a few days of continuous heat storms develop like this one I recently photographed as it approached Mooloolaba and engulfed parts of the Sunshine Coast. I’m almost sure we will get something in the coming days it certainly has that feel about it. Stay safe this storm season And have a wonderful weekend.... ABC Sunshine Coast Mooloolaba, Queensland

18.01.2022 Hi folks, gosh it’s been a while. ( My Apologies ) Those that know me on Facebook would of heard I have lost all my images I have ever taken over the past 15-20 years. (Well they are actually not gone but they are stuck on my external hard drive and I need to start saving to get the data back). Anyway time to start collecting some new images. ... The iconic One Tree Hill , Maleny and the beautiful Glasshouse Mountains in the background. Panoramic image in the comments.

17.01.2022 A peak through the pandanus. I wish everyone an awesome and safe weekend. Give the image a tap to enjoy the full view ... Mudjimba Beach

17.01.2022 I headed down to the Buderim State Forest late in the afternoon with my metal detector to try and find a mate's SD card which he lost when a tree decided to fall and nearly kill him (lucky to be alive). Shane sustained some pretty serious and quite horrific injuries and has been in hospital since the accident. I would of loved nothing more than to find it for him but unfortunately I didn't have much luck on this occasion. I did manage to shoot a few frames while i was there ...as the late afternoon sun pierced through the canopy such a beautiful serene place that turned deadly at the blink of an eye nearly taking a life. Be safe out there :) Serenity Falls Buderim Buderim, Queensland Buderim Falls

17.01.2022 The soothing, healing properties of the ocean. The solidarity and peacefulness of the early mornings. The clean fresh ocean air. Mudjimba Beach

17.01.2022 Some mornings are just magic. . . . I set the alarm and headed out early this morning for a sunrise shoot at the sandbags, Maroochydore Beach. Left way to early and ended up just waiting around for about half an hour for a bit more light. I set my camera up on my tripod, got everything level and even composed the shot, then this one dirty brown looking cloud sat directly over the top of me and started to pour. I think it was the only cloud in the sky that contained any rain.... I had to then wipe my camera down, clean my lens and set up for the shot again. Just as it started to get light (blue hour) I turned and noticed the moon setting behind me against a brilliant dark blue sky with the moons reflections bouncing off the smooth wet sand. For quite some time it looked just magical. Maroochydore, Queensland

16.01.2022 EARTHED. Summer this year is a stark contrast to last years summer with devastating fires that engulfed many parts of our country. The fact that a lot of fuel that had built up over the years was now gone and the many days of rain we have had this summer has certainly helped reduce the fire risk. There has been a few late afternoon storms with some causing quite a lot of damage, like this one that rolled on through the Sunshine Coast and striking just off Mudjimba. ... Whatever the weather may be, I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful weekend.

15.01.2022 G'day to you all. I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe festive season. This is the storm that started to build up on the Sunshine Coast yesterday afternoon. It looked menacing and certainly seemed as though it was going to produce some good lightning and dump quite a lot of rain. It fizzed out in the end, only a little shower in my area, not sure if anyone else got anything in other parts, I haven't seen any reports as yet. Image is taken from Palmwoods/Woombye looking w...est. Happy Hump Day. See more

14.01.2022 Combining my three great passions relating to photography. Storms, clouds and black and white.

13.01.2022 Sorry about all the Mudjimba Beach posts of late, sort of stuck around here until they lift some restrictions. Not a bad place to be stuck though I must say. Absolutely beautiful morning down there this morning though. Have an awesome weekend. ... Mudjimba Beach

12.01.2022 I went out yesterday afternoon after noticing some nice clouds that should produce some nice colour at sunset. I had this place picked out sometime ago and was just waiting for the right conditions. As I set up and waited for the sun to start setting I was taking a few bracketed images for a HDR (high Dynamic Range) image when I noticed this young girl approach on her horse. When shooting in brackets the camera will take three images, a correct exposure, an underexposed image..., and the third an overexposed image. I didn't have time to change my settings and this was the third image in the bracket which is the overexposed image, hence why the sun is blown out. I ended up talking to the young girl and she introduced me to her magnificent grey Gelding, I asked if she didn't me taking the shots and gave her a business card so she could explain to her parents and to make sure they didn't mind either. I will get around to editing the sunset pics soon :) Original Image in the comments. Take Care...... :)

11.01.2022 Not to long ago when I posted the Image Imagine a lady asked me if she could paint it. She has finished and I think she pretty much nailed it

11.01.2022 Some gorgeous King Parrots out the backyard yesterday, the colours are just amazing.

11.01.2022 Hi there. Look, rather than spam you with Serenity Falls images for the next week, I thought I would just put them all in one post. :) I will probably be posting a lot of similar images as i build up my gallery again. Sometimes i get stuck and cant decide, so may even ask for some help, get your opinions to maybe make it easier to select the final image. If you havnt already been to this place, you should really think about going, once you get there, and i was lucky enough t...o have the place to myself for a while you can easy see why they call it Serenity Falls. I could only imagine the face and the feeling of the first person to come across the place, its like walking straight into paradise. Buderim, Queensland Serenity Falls

10.01.2022 Just received some test prints back today. This image of Serenity Falls has been reproduced on 290gsm Entrada Bright Cotton Rag. The quality is amazing not only in the colours but through to the blacks as well. The print shown is 12x18in (31cm x 45.7cm) and is guaranteed to last up to 100 years against fading and discolouration when framed and displayed correctly. Quality that lasts a lifetime. . . . ... 09.01.2022 Some nice, soft pastels saturate the scenery moments before the sun rises beyond the horizon. What a morning for wetting a line

09.01.2022 I hope everyone was ok in the storm that engulfed the Sunshine Coast yesterday. It hit some areas pretty hard taking down trees and causing a lot of damage which seemed concentrated around the Little Mountain area. A large intense storm cell engulfs the Sunshine Coast yesterday afternoon and into the evening making Mt.Coolum look rather small in comparison. Tap on the panoramic image and flip ya phone sideways to get a good look at the size of this storm.

08.01.2022 I love walking along the beach in the early morning as the moon is setting moments before the sun appears boyond the horizon. This is a reverse sunrise taken on Tuesday morning, 5:20 at Maroochydore Beach. I hope everyone has an awesome and safe holiday

08.01.2022 A Little Ray of Sunshine. . . Its great to get rain, but it was nice to see the sun again after nearly a week of overcast weather and damp conditions. Hope everyone had a wonderful, safe holiday.... Maroochydore, Queensland www.kapturedimages.net.au

08.01.2022 A storm that passed over the Sunshine Coast and heading out to sea, at night. I'm sure the people on the ships that dot the horizon would of got a great view of the this light show. 08.01.2022 One of the best beaches on the planet Mudjimba Beach

07.01.2022 While at Buderim State Forest the other day photographing Serenity Falls, i had a visit from some of the local wildlife, so of course i had quickly change settings and grab a quick frame of an eastern Water Dragon basking on a rock in the sun.

07.01.2022 I love old trees I always wonder what age they are. I’m attracted by the uniqueness, the texture and the character of old trees, this huge old stump caught my eye. Click on the image and flip your phone to the side to have a better look Hope everyone has an awesome weekend

05.01.2022 IMAGINE . . . I have always imagined what it would be like to surf at night, not sure how long I would last, the first thing to brush past my leg I would be out of there pretty fast. We can always imagine though :)... Mudjimba Beach Sunshine Coast, Queensland

03.01.2022 Black and White portrait sessions from $129.

02.01.2022 Morning Colours Ive seen some pretty amazing sunrises over the past 20 odd years at Mudjimba. Its amazing, sometimes almost breathtaking watching the colours change as the sun starts to bring light and warmth to a new day. This is a long exposure captured early in the morning just at the end of blue hour as it starts to transition into sunrise, where the warm, bright, vivid tones will start to saturate the sky. I love the morning colours. Mudjimba Beach Old Woman Island , Mudjimba

02.01.2022 This was the storm that developed over Cooroy yesterday afternoon. I raced down the beach as the sun was setting, but the cell had just started to break up.The heavens opened up and it seemed as though the rain was coming down sideways looking north toward Mt.Coolum. 02.01.2022 It’s so nice to get feedback from clients. Matt from Dalby got his print Imagine framed and hung, looks a treat Matt thanks for sharing it with me. Hope you enjoy it for many many years to come. Cheers

01.01.2022 The walk bridge over the Maroochy River leading to Chambers Island, during a thunderstorm. I headed over the bridge to the other side to try and capture the second storm cell coming behind the first and ended up getting stuck in the public toilets on the Island for an hour until it passed over. I think i spent more time wiping my lens than capturing images. :) Maroochydore, Queensland
