22.01.2022 Only about a week and a half until the big night We would just like to make sure you know the movie 'Running on Empty' is rated M and suitable for ages 15 plus and that there is some nudity in the movie. We hope you have been working on your 'cardboard box cars' for the night, don't forget there will be a trophy and a prize for the best car up for grabs. There will be two winners, one is a peoples choice vote and one will be a committee choice. Please make sure your cars ar...e made of cardboard and mainly recyclable materials. If you are bringing your cardboard box car it is $15 per car load (as many as you can fit in the box (including the boot). If you are not bringing a car it is $10 entry per person. Thank you to Fabio Antonioli (KCSP Member) and his wife Sonja for donating the trophies. Thank you to Autopro Kapunda and Sweet as Barossa Diner for kindly donating gift vouchers for prizes. The Kapunda Christmas Street Party Committee have also donated a Mainline Drive in Movie Voucher as another prize, be sure to get involved for a chance to show off your car and possibly win a trophy and prize Thank you to The North Kapunda Hotel who are kindly donating all of the food we will be selling on the night, all proceeds will go to the 2020 Kapunda Christmas Street Party Doors open at 7pm, this will be held in the back garden of the North Kapunda Hotel. Hope to see you there
22.01.2022 MAP the miner will be getting his gear off on the 6th of Jan. Probably not as salubrious an occasion as seeing him get dressed but it’s still worth a look. Time: 6pm Thanks to Coates Hire Nuriootpa and our local Kapunda MFS for taking on this task.
19.01.2022 Dont forget your deck chairs!

15.01.2022 It is with great sadness the Kapunda Christmas Street Party Committee need to inform you that we have decided to cancel the street party event for this year. As you know this year has been full of uncertainty and we cannot predict how things will be for the the rest of the year. We came to our decision based on a number of reasons, mostly because we just don’t know that a gathering like this would be allowed and even if it was allowed can easily change at any time, but also w...e have not been able to do any fundraising and we do not want to ask businesses for sponsorship's or donations because this has been such a hard year for so many. We just feel it would not be right. We would like to at least do what we can this year and have discussed several ideas. We will be running the Christmas lights/decorated house and business competitions. We will be running the colouring in competition and this year we are going to add a section for adults to enter, as well as a section for the elderly within the community and nursing home. We will also still be having Map the Miner dressed. We also have a couple more ideas up our sleeve, but we need to find out some more information before we know what we can or cannot do so please stay tuned for further news. We are hoping next year we can go even bigger and better. Yours sincerely The 2020 Kapunda Christmas Street Party Committee Bec Harris (Chairperson), Leonie Boyd (Secretary & Treasurer), David Hogg, Fabio Antonioli, Rich Bolton, Elliza Bolton, Tash Williams, Jennette Mickan, Chantal Andrews, Bradley Haylock, Cathy Jones, Destiny Wilks (helper).

05.01.2022 Hi Everyone An update to let you know what is happening this year. We will be sharing further information about everything very soon. Letters with the following information have gone out to most of the local businesses in the Main Street with a few more still to visit.... Please contact us if you would like a letter to be sent to you or if you would like to help in any way. Thank you :) Decorating Map the Miner will be dressed, thanks to the kindness of Coates Hire and the MFS, The MFS will also put the wreaths up through the street. The red ribbons will also be up. Competitions Best Decorated Business Best Lights/Decorated house/Garden Colouring in Competition for children and the elderly Helping people in need via Uniting Care Kapunda We would like to organize donations of canned food/drinks to be given to Uniting Care Kapunda to put into the Christmas Hampers. Of course, any donations of appropriate packet items (food/ toiletries, etc. is welcome too). We are also looking for businesses who are willing to be a drop off point for these items. We will share on Facebook where the drop off points are.
