23.01.2022 Powerful messages on never giving up Find strength within It’s hard to stay strong when you feel like giving up. It feels like your world is crumbling down aro...und you, and there is no option out. The reason why we think like this is because we forget about the big picture. We focus on the minor things and not the major things that are important in our life. Every day is a struggle if you have a negative mindset, when you are wallowing in pity and misery it is hard to see the good and the true potential that is inside of you. Work hard for what you want because it wont come to you without a fight. You have to be strong and courageous and know that you can do anything you put your mind to. If somebody puts you down or criticizes you, just keep on believing in yourself and turn it into something positive Note to self: You can’t control how other people receive your energy. Anything you do or say gets filtered by the lenses of whatever personal shit they are going through at the moment. Which is not about you. Just keep doing your thing with as much integrity, respect and love as possible Never let your head hang down and give up!

21.01.2022 Happy birthday Rachel. Have an amazing day.

13.01.2022 Remember this Kenyan runner Abel Mutai who was just a few feet from the finish line, but became confused with the signage and stopped, thinking he had completed... the race. A Spanish runner, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him and, realizing what was happening, started shouting at the Kenyan to continue running. Mutai didn't know Spanish and didn't understand. Realizing what was taking place, Fernandez pushed Mutai to victory. A journalist asked Ivan, "Why did you do that?" Ivan replied, "My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life where we push and help each other to win." The journalist insisted "But why did you let the Kenyan win?" Ivan replied, "I didn't let him win, he was going to win. The race was his." The journalist insisted, and again asked, "But you could have won!" Ivan looked at him and replied, "But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor in that medal? What would my Mother think of that?" Values are passed on from generation to generation. What values are we teaching our children? Let us not teach our kids the wrong ways and means to WIN. Instead, let us pass on the beauty and humanity of a helping hand. Because honesty and ethics are WINNING!

11.01.2022 Drink water from the spring where horses drink. The horse will never drink bad water. Lay your bed where the cat sleeps. Eat the fruit that has been touched by a worm. Boldly pick the mushroom on which the insects sit. Plant the tree where the mole digs. Build your house where the snake sits to warm itself. Dig your fountain where the birds hide from heat. Go to sleep and wake up at the same time with the birds you will reap all of the days golden grains. Eat more green you will have strong legs and a resistant heart, like the beings of the forest. Swim often and you will feel on earth like the fish in the water. Look at the sky as often as possible and your thoughts will become light and clear. Be quiet a lot, speak little and silence will come in your heart, and your spirit will be calm and full of peace. - Unknown

11.01.2022 Thank you to everyone for your help keeping our dojo a healthy place to de in . We have had no one sick training, we have had people with illnesses staying away from training until they are better. Thank you ! We have had people tested for COVID with obviously all negative results but now it seems Covid is back in Brisbane so we need to keep up with our COVIDSafe rules at the dojo so we can stay open. Hopefully this issue will be over and not much will come from it .This is the sort of crap that has Melbourne in lockdown and hundreds of people sick and 20 people dead in the last 2 weeks. These two idiots came from Melbourne and straight back into the community working, shopping, eating out with no regard for anyone else around them .

10.01.2022 COVID safe reminder: Hi guys . Even though the restrictions are lighter we still need to keep up our hand cleaning and distancing at training. Dont just clean your hands before class do it during and after . you need to stay away from each other before and after training, if you want to talk we have a big carpark . Please bring a towel and keep it handy while training. No sharing equipment eg sparring pads. If you dont feel well at all even just a little bit please stay away from training. Everyone still needs to sign in at the door. Parents please come and sign in your kids . We can have spectators but you count as a number so if you need to stay please dont be offended if I ask you to wait outside.

10.01.2022 Interesting story. Everything evolves even you ! don’t be scared to try something at training and practice the things your not good at .

06.01.2022 Sadly lacking in this generation Of karateka? Martial arts dojos vary in their adherence to etiquette on and off the dojo floor.... Newcomers to karate are sometimes intimidated by the karate dojo etiquette of martial arts. They may not be familiar with the customs of karate training and origin Once you arrive, prepare yourself for training. Take off any jewelry watch, rings, earrings, necklaces, etc. Be sure to turn off your iPhone too......leave your thoughts of the day outside and focus your mind, body and spirit on the next two hours of training. When entering or leaving the dojo, always face the front, bow and say Osu, then face the general direction of the other students in the class, bow and say Osu again Once you have prepared yourself, help prepare the dojo/hall for the class. If needed, sweep the floor, hang up heavy bags, set up mats, etc... this builds character within students. In many karate dojo’s, karateka follow the Japanese custom of saying Onegaishimasu () to each other. Onegaishimasu is one of those Japanese phrases that does not have a direct English translation. It roughly means do me this favor. In other dojos karateka may bow with a resounding Osu oss to each other while bowing. Depending on the customs of the dojo. Karate etiquette is a reflection of the karate-ka's dojo and sensei teachings. Always address the instructors by their proper title, Sensei or Sempai (senior student), inside the dojo. Karate etiquette consists of many factors including what is expected in the dojo and during training, how to wear a uniform, personal safety. It is the responsibility of every karate-ka to learn the importance of dojo etiquette, apply it, and teach others. Karate etiquette is a very important element in training. Whether you are inside the dojo or not, there are specific rules that the karate-ka must abide by to be a true martial artist and to himself or herself Osu An instructor is called a Sensei (), which literally means person born before another. Always show respect and courtesy. Always train hard, enjoy your training and do your best. Osu Sensei Jim Casey

06.01.2022 Wednesday morning training done. Well done guys .

05.01.2022 This back stretcher is the best thing I ever spent money on . Was run over by a tractor and my back has been shit ever since. I spent so much money on pain meds and massage over 25 years , sometimes up to $200 a week just trying to feel good enough to get on with life . I had trouble exercising, walking, sitting on the floor, driving, sleeping!! In pain everyday. I got one of these just this year and Im 80% pain free just from laying on this thing that cost me $30 . I do have to use it everyday though. If you have back pain get one use it for a month. It does take a while to be able to relax enough for it to work. Try it . It has made a big difference to my life.
