25.01.2022 President update Welcome officially to 2021. This season KNC is nominating 17 teams, including two Master sides. Training officially commenced on Tuesday 9th March from 4.00pm. All, coaches & teams have been allocated. If you would like to be a team manager please put your hand up, as all help is greatly appreciated.... Chelsea and I always know it’s no easy task being a selector and this year has been even more difficult, with the ever increasing talent coming through our club. Every single player was discussed, and we looked at various team set ups and combinations to achieve the best results for the club and each team. Sadly, we don’t always make everyone happy, but rest assured while going through the process we debate these decisions even more - why? Because we truly want to support everyone. To the people who haven’t been placed in your preferred teams or with your ideal friends, thank you for respecting the tough decisions we needed to make. We are confident that you will still have great fun, have competitive games and make wonderful friends during the season. To all our coaches, sincere thank you for taking the time and challenge to coach our KNC teams. FNA are running coaching clinics this season if anyone is interested in developing their skills as a coach, please let us know. KNC will pay the fee. Thank you to all those umpires that have decided to take the challenge for the 2021 season. I’m sure Elise our Umpire developer/co-ordinator, is very grateful. If anyone would like to develop their umpiring skills further with FNA please see Elise. Danika our social co-ordinator, has organised several fundraising activities throughout the season, so please keep an eye out for the notices. Fun & games for all ages, that’s what our club is all about Family To the senior teams & parents, please don’t be shy and check out the Berrigan Bar & Bistro for your social functions & gatherings, as they are KNC major sponsor. Also after the game on Saturdays, the bar at FNA is open, if you would like that quick drink to unwind before the trek home! Again thank you all for being part of the KNC family and hope you all enjoy the 2021 netball season. If anyone would like to discuss matters, or have any ideas to help the club in any areas, please feel free to come & say hi, I am always there on a Tuesday from 4.00pm to 9.00pm. Kind regards Debbie Librizzi KNC President

25.01.2022 *Covid-19 Update* Thank you for your continued support and patience through these difficult and uncertain times. We know many of you are wondering what is happening with training, season commencement and fee restructuring/refunds.... Unfortunately at this time we do not have all the answers as we are guided by Netball WA who need to respond and makes plans in accordance with State Government requirements. What we can share with you is that at this stage a season may go ahead but not until after the 27th June. As a club we are unable to recommence training or use our courts as we are bounded by Netball WA protocols and local city council requirements. Any information on refunds/fee restructure cannot be confirmed until our Executive Committee can meet and discuss this. We are unable to do this until we have further information from Netball WA and FNA. Thank you for your continued understanding, we get how frustrating this process is. Please continue to keep up a regular excercise routine, keeping your body and mind healthy. We hope to see you all soon and we will be in contact via email and through our social media platforms as soon as we have further information. Stay safe, KNC Committee

24.01.2022 *Covid-19 Update* *Long post - please read* We can now confirm that in response to Covid19, Netball WA has provided a non-negotiable directive for all associations and clubs. All competitions will be suspended until 30th May 2020 and clubs will not be able to commence training until the week prior (23rd May 2020). *FNA can confirm that the Winter Competition will now consist of a shortened 13-week season commencing on Saturday 13th June 2020. This will consist of 10 playing... rounds and 3 weeks of finals. The general byes scheduled during the July school holidays will continue as normal meaning byes of Saturday 11th July and Saturday 18th July. For us at Kardinya Netball Club this means that we will not re-commence training until Tuesday 26th May 2020. We implore our members and community to remain vigilant with hygiene practices and keep up to date with any information regarding isolation periods and travel. Where possible and safe to do so, we encourage our members to continue participating in active and healthy lifestyles. We thank you all for your continued support of our club during this unpredictable time. As the response to Covid-19 rapidly changes for the country, state and different sectors we will continue to keep our members informed via email and social media, regarding any changes or protocols which will effect netball. We understand and appreciate that there will be many questions, concerns and queries from our players, families and community regarding these decisions, however; at this time, we are unable to answer a lot of these until we have further directives from FNA and/or Netball WA. This includes any questions or concerns regarding fees and the structure of fees considering the shortened season. You can read the Netball WA release here: https://wa.netball.com.au/covid-19s-impact-netball-wa This information will also go out via email to all members later today. Thank you. KNC Committee *Please note that these dates for the Winter Competition are as of Wednesday 18th March and are subject to change in response to Covid-19 updates.

12.01.2022 Huge thanks to Jason for providing this fantastic service to our playing members

11.01.2022 WHAT DOES PHASE 4 LOOK LIKE AT FNA ON GAME DAY? - NO SICK people are to attend FNA regardless of their role - FNA has restrictions on numbers for each time slo...t, so we encourage our community to bring only 1 spectator per player. Social distancing needs to be implemented at FNA at all times by spectators - Coaching staff & subs from both teams will be required to stand on the same side of the court, leaving the opposite side available for the court next to them ** Court Maps will be developed & shared soon - Strapping is not available at FNA during phase 4 restrictions - Food & drinks cannot be shared, this means half-time & end of game oranges, lollies or snacks are not permitted during phase 4 - Players are to bring labelled drink bottles & towels with them & teams cannot use drink caddies/holders. Drink bottles should be placed at the side of the court spaced out - Game balls are to be sanitised by teams prior to arriving at FNA - Post protectors need to sanitised prior to & after each game; FNA will supply a spray sanitiser at each court, each team is to sanitise a post protector each. The sanitiser will be taken out with the post protectors at the first time slot & is to be returned with the post protectors at the last time slot - Players (other than when in the course of the game) also need to follow social distancing rules, so huddles & cheers will not be able to have any contact & need to be spaced out; we encourage a show of thanks at the end of the game to umpires & opposition but not by shaking hands & standard huddle & suggest an elbow tap & spaced out circle with 3 cheers for umpires...etc. - Score cards need to have people who understand the process & can be relied on to complete them accurately during this period. Score cards need to show the players on court as well as the position each player was in during each quarter. - On game day, please arrive no earlier than 20 minutes before your game and we ask that you leave after your game See more

09.01.2022 The family of one of our fantastic club members has been affected by Pancreatic Cancer. Here’s what Danielle has to say... In support of my mum Sandra who is currently undergoing her own fight against pancreatic cancer, along with my family we have decided to raise money in the Pankind "Put Your Foot Down Walk." The money raised is for research into finding an early detection test for pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is one of the few cancers that currently has no early... detection test available which is why survival rates are so low. Pankind is the only charity in Australia that exclusively dedicates and invests into research. Any donations would mean so much to me to help make a difference to everyone who suffers from this disease and improve survival rates through early detection. Please click on the link to read more and to donate. Thank you so much If you are willing and able to help out Danielle Norman and her family, please head to the link below to donate https://perth.putyourfootdown.org.au/page/DanielleNorman

08.01.2022 UPDATE- Trophy Recipients located I have these 3 trophies that we were unable to present at the windup yesterday. If they belong to your family please let me know & we can arrange pick up

08.01.2022 SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES - Spectator and Team allocated space for games Spectators and teams will be restricted to one sideline and one goal line of the cou...rt in most cases, with teams being given priority over spectators. Scorers and timers for the courts will also need to be accommodated and prioritised on the allocated sideline. As always spectators are expected to give umpires ample room to do their job this is especially important with permitted goal lines where spectators should be on the grass or paved areas behind the goal lines. Below is a court map with designated standing zones for spectators and teams. This is to help implement social distancing between courts. Please remember we encourage only one spectator per player during phase 4 restrictions. This maps is also on the FNA website. #FNA2020 #FreoNetball #Respect #CovidSafe #SocialDistance #BeSafe #BeHealthy #TrueSport
