24.01.2022 Unfortunately, effective from today, you are no longer able to claim Kinesiology for a rebate through your private health fund. Our politicians have received 1,000s of signatures attempting to block this decision but without success. Kinesiology isn’t the only therapy now blocked by this legislation under the guise of no evidence to support its value. By being able to state that you are eligible for a private health rebate from my work told you that I was qualified to a sta...ndard to meet the health fund’s criteria. Our industry’s standards will continue but it would be a wise decision to ask your practitioner as to whether they have membership to a professional body for their therapy. This means the Practitioner maintains ongoing education and carries professional indemnity insurance. Aside from my Post Grad science qualifications, my Kinesiology qualification was 3 years of full-time study to achieve an Advanced Diploma and then many hours of ongoing study. This is the same story for many of my colleagues. Please feel free to ask questions on this topic or anything re Kinesiology

24.01.2022 Okey dokey! I'm a bit slow changing my work status - I should have done this last week!! We've got the all clear to be doing face-to-face kinesiology sessions again and just letting you know that I am back open for business.... I'm hoping everyone has managed the changes that have happened in the last few months and you've also kept your immune systems strong!

23.01.2022 Well it’s started. Legislation was passed recently to ban private health insurance providers from covering their customers using complementary therapies from April 2019 despite many petitions. I have received notice that HBF will no longer be covering this part of their ancillary insurance as from 1 January 2019. Kinesiology is one of many therapies no longer allowed to be covered. The government’s reasoning is that there is no science to prove it is of any value. Hmmm, ...I wonder if anyone told Harvard University School of Medicine where Kinesiology is being studied using functional MRI (with reportedly great results), Oxford University (Dr Anne Jensen) or countries like Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland where Kinesiology is more readily accepted. It’s fairly obvious we’re heading to an election in the near future - you may choose to speak to your local member about this if you feel strongly enough about the issue.

23.01.2022 Well worth hearing what Peter has to say!

23.01.2022 2021 is turning out to be just as tricky as 2020! What an amazing time to be alive! If you're feeling strong emotions around how life is for you in February '21, then you might want to consider a kinesiology session. The only claim we make is that we help you calm your stress. That stress might be physical (eg pain), emotional, family or even friendship impacts with all the changes that have been going on in the last 12 months.... Just know that kinesiology can help in so many different ways. It's pretty weird but definitely wonderful!

22.01.2022 You know how synchronicity works - you hear a new concept one day and then within the week you’ve heard it three times and you finally get the message you’re supposed to hear! Following last night’s talk on the Gut Secret I have to share with you a recipe that a local senior shared with me last week. I started taking this drink following that conversation as it made sense to me then and Dr. Peter Dingle confirmed the reason why last night. Five months ago, the elderly gentl...eman had a knee twice the size of normal with equal pain and a neck so painful that it caused him to stoop. Now his knee and neck is normal and pain free and he stands tall, proud and vibrant. His only change in intervention was the following recipe that he willingly shared with me. Disclaimer: Please take personal responsibility - if you have allergies to any ingredients, then this drink isn’t for you - and to all - do your own research. Use keywords like coconut oil and inflammation etc. look up Peter’s website for informative books loaded in scientific references. Also, when sourcing your ingredients, aim for organic 1 heaped teaspoon coconut oil 1 heaped teaspoon turmeric A couple of twists of black pepper 3/4 cup warm to hot water 1/2 teaspoon cacao powder (He added honey to sweeten but I don’t and don’t feel it needs it) He also said to block your nose before drinking but I don’t feel it’s that bad! 22.01.2022 Such a huge weekend! Saturday started at the Bunbury Markets with our SW Kinesiology Practitioner stand celebrating Kinesiology Week. From there, I went straight to the Wellness Expo at the Make & Co building where I participated as a therapist at that wonderful event. Sunday started with the Dru Yoga Spa Day with Sarah Collin - just what my body needed after what turned out to be a 15 hour day on Saturday! (That is not practicing what I preach!!). At the end of Sunday was... supposed to be the screening of "The Gut Movie" but because of technical issues this has had to be rescheduled. But I bought the DVD and it is totally worth viewing. What I learned from the weekend - For myself - SLOW DOWN! But also there was so much information on the gut, the microbiome, self care and the amount of fabulous therapists that live locally to Bunbury. They have so much knowledge and skills to share and it really highlights the need for all of us to explore what we can do for ourselves to improve our health and happiness. Happy to share details of other therapists if you want to PM me. See more

19.01.2022 This article gives a link to a study out of Harvard Uni. Also, Dr Candace Pert’s book Molecules of Emotion written years ago on her discovery on the physical impact of trauma on the body. This is where kinesiology is part of the solution.

19.01.2022 I have to share with you the importance of watching a Netflix movie called "Root Cause". I'm hoping I'm not the last one to see it but it is so important that I'm advertising it anyway. If you suffer a chronic illness that you believe you have tried everything to move through it or you have ever had a tooth removed, or root canal work, then this movie is imperative viewing. It links in with stuff taught to us through Kinesiology but listening to the health experts commentary... gives another avenue for you to pursue good health. If you want to come and have a chat about kinesiology I will be at the Kinesiology stand at the Bunbury Wellness Fest that is part of the Bunbury Fringe Festival on the 3rd Feb between 1pm to 5pm.

17.01.2022 FASD - Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder - free lecture on 19th July in Nedlands (UWA). Carmela is my cousin (by marriage) and has dedicated many hours into this subject. She’s a neuropsychologist and a research associate at the Telethon Kids Institute. Read her bio in the link below and come to hear her talk to understand the problems alcohol can cause the unborn child and their future development. https://apsevents.eventsair.com/QuickEventWe//pestell-talk

17.01.2022 Death and grieving - not the cheeriest of subjects but actually the origins of me using kinesiology as a therapy to process my grieving 21 years ago - where the spark to learn it was struck. Twenty one years ago it was my Dad but today marks the fourth funeral I have attended this year. The first one in January was my mother-in-law, in February and March were two ladies that were mums of friends but I knew both of the ladies as well - one was a second mum to me in my younger... adult years (as my mum and dad were travelling a lot). Today was hard. A friend from my nursing student days who was 5 years younger than me. Oh it strikes home when life isn't fair. The message that came through her beautiful service was that we must live everyday for the gift that it is and share the love. Lisa had a smile that could light up a room, a fabulous laugh and a heart that was even bigger. I'm feeling blessed to have known her and strengthened by the bonds of friendship that was there in force today from our WAIT/Curtin days in the 80s. Live and love - just live and love. See more

16.01.2022 It’s ages since I’ve put up a post but I just need to share this in the interest of autoimmunity and conditions you may not have connected to autoimmunity. There’s still time to register if you’re motivated! http://bet19.acemlnc.com/lt.php... The extended interviews that are available now - along with the first episode - are really interesting. Science explained simply.

15.01.2022 I'm back! I saw that my last post was Nov 2017 - Facebook has even given up hounding me!! Well, there's a win in itself! The end of 2017 and the start to 2018 have been pretty hectic for me and from what I'm hearing, I'm not alone here. Remember the importance to process the "stuff" that's bothering you in an appropriate and healthy way. ... If you want to bring in change from what has always happened and create new possibilities for yourself then consider Kinesiology as a therapy to assist that change. It's such a gentle process - and I for one, cannot have enough calm in my life.

14.01.2022 Hi Everyone! Just to let you know that I will be closing for a short break from Dec 23 to re-open on Monday, Jan 4th. Thanks to my beautiful clients and I am wishing you all a safe and cheerful Christmas and holiday season and may 2021 be a little less challenging!

12.01.2022 Marco was a keynote speaker at the AKA conference last weekend in Melbourne. This YouTube presentation filmed in Barcelona is actually delivered in English with a Spanish interpreter. I encourage anybody interested (particularly if you work in the energy industry) in the power of the human heart to listen and watch this presentation. It takes longer because of the interpreting but for me, so worth it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pa-yy4DGZ7Y&feature=share

10.01.2022 If you’ve got a few questions about Kinesiology, this YouTube piece might help!

10.01.2022 Come on down and see what therapies are available locally and even give them a try!

09.01.2022 At Dr Dr. Peter Dingle’s talk on Gut Healing - oops - bought more books!

09.01.2022 When you watch the shorts of this movie, it may seem unusual that I would be promoting it on my Kinesiology page. This is a very important topic based on a true story of the amazing courage of Tim Ballard and his quest to free children from child sex trafficking. It could be triggering for many people to learn just how prevalent the issue is. If you are triggered, consider receiving some sort of energy work - of course I offer kinesiology - but any energy work that helps s...ettle the negative responses to being triggered. Being triggered isn't necessarily a bad thing as it usually motivates us into action. We want the action to be for the solution, not contribute to the problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oZE2nod4i0

09.01.2022 If you are truly someone that likes to "follow the science" then this link is something that will interest you. Remember "the science" is NEVER done on anything. If someone challenges you with "there is no science to support that idea" is either correct, that no one has actually investigated the idea - or - the statement should be "I haven't read/heard the science to support that idea". When you only get your education through traditional means then there is a good chance t...hat there is an industry making money out of the results of that education. Take V.A. Shiva Avyadurai's invitation and listen to his education on the how our immune system is much more than the creation of antibodies. I feel he is well enough qualified to challenge what you may have been taught. Yes, he can make money from his courses but he is very generous with sharing his knowledge on free platforms as well. https://fb.watch/4ipO1t_9Ar/

08.01.2022 I've got a big weekend this coming weekend. In celebration of Kinesiology Week the South West Kinesiology Practitioner Group will be at the Bunbury Markets on Saturday morning and then I will be part of the Mind, Body and Spirit Wellness Expo in the afternoon and evening. I attended the Busselton equivalent event a while back and if you are wanting to know more about things you can do to improve your health then I recommend you come along and have a look and listen. :) https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/mind-body-and-spirit-wellne

07.01.2022 International Women's Day - my sister-in-law Kavisha Mazzella wrote and performed this song with this enormous choir in Melbourne, Victoria 12 years ago. Happy IWD ladies and thank you to those wonderful men that have supported us on our journey. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HpCmdLRuF8

06.01.2022 And more good educational viewing! https://www.facebook.com/TED/videos/10159472697830652/

05.01.2022 Congratulations Shire of Dardanup for hosting this event. Come on down to sample the amazing therapies available in the area - all focused on helping you to feel better. Monique Sambros-Garvey and I will be sharing a Kinesiology stand.

04.01.2022 Memory Loss and it's recovery! My latest research has taken me in the direction of Alzheimer's, dementia and brain health from the mainstream perspective. This is because my nursing work has a restorative focus usually involving older patients with cognitive issues but not necessarily the older person. I watched the "Awakening from Alzheimer's" series that explained the importance of lifestyle changes to reduce the inflammation in your gut and therefore your brain (think mic...robiome). The presenters are all experts in their own fields of either delivering health care as physicians or research scientists developing treatment models. One common message was the necessity of being aware of foods that feed and foods that destroy brain cells - but the good news is healthy changes do bring about improvements. Exercise is imperative - both cardiovascular and strength (think what you can do around the house and garden if you're not into gyms!) Sleep - sleep - sleep! If you are not waking feeling rested, have difficulty getting to sleep or staying asleep, or need medications for sleep, then take action now! There are multiple cycles that make up our sleep patterns and these are necessary for rest and restoration of our physical body but also the REM sleep is required for transferring short term memory into long term memory. There are so many different ways you can help your brain function. Not surprisingly, I can tell you that kinesiology can play a significant role towards brain health and integration. There are many authors writing valuable information regarding lifestyle and brain health. Private message me if you want help with finding good books to read on this topic or presentations to watch. Happy to help!

03.01.2022 I’ve made the decision - with lots of contemplation - to close my clinic until further notice. The nursing part of my life needs to be considered and has the potential for me to be unknowingly exposed and then become a share-risk of the virus to my clients. If you’re a client and really struggling, please contact me either by phone, SMS, email through my website or FB message and let me know - I may have a solution to help or point you in a direction that may help. ... Stay safe and well and I hope you understand my decision.
