25.01.2022 My little flock of weirdos, running here, there and everywhere. #guineafowl #karinyavale

23.01.2022 I've had poor luck this last week with my guineas but hopefully things are improving. Lost one because a horse stood on it and shattered it's leg Then 2 days later one got kicked silly by a horse, like down for the count, cloud of feathers on the ground, thought his neck was broken. But he's come good, so meet Silly, the third guinea to gain a name after the crazy girls Dum Dum and Blondie. In better news I seem to have 3 girls laying eggs so fingers crossed for some keets. #guineafowl

22.01.2022 A couple of drops of dish soap in my water garden this morning and now all those pesky mosquito larvae are dead += #watergarden #mozzie #mosquito

15.01.2022 GREAT FOR HORSE PROPERTIES Do you know about Guinea Fowl and their cute baby keets? These fantastic birds eat weeds and bugs including ticks, and spread manure.... They won't touch your gardens. They are great watch dogs, if anyone or anything odd turns up on your property, like a snake, you will know about it. Once raised and trained where home is they can be pretty self-sufficient, free ranging birds. Just need water, the odd treat and a nice tree to roost in. You can also cage at night. They lay LOTS of high protein eggs in breeding season. And best of all their antics are hilarious! If you want to know more, or would like some of these crazy, wonderful birds then just let me know.
