23.01.2022 The Choir students had a fantastic excursion today to Mt Barker to watch and sing along to the Sing! 2020 movie. The movie had vision from around the state, tap dancing, choreography, orchestra performances and AUSLAN signing. No concerts this year sadly but at least they got to Sing! Sing! Sing!

21.01.2022 Due to the two lockdown days last week we have decided that it is in the best interest of our students and their families that we cancel this Friday’s PFD...



21.01.2022 Your children can access PRC titles through your library even when on holidays. EBooks and Audiobooks can be accessed on a device or a PC.

20.01.2022 On Tuesday the Preschool and Reception children travelled to Renmark to see a performance by Patch Theatre Company - Me & My Shadow. The performance told the magical story of a girl making friends with her shadow. Before and after the performance the children played at the Loxton Playground. A great day out full of learning, play and cultural experiences!

17.01.2022 For Stage One Physical Education, KAS students participated in a Badminton Competition with students from Tintinara and Swan Reach. This was a great chance for our year 11 students to showcase their skills against other schools. Well done to everyone who participated.

16.01.2022 Day 2 of the 10/11 outdoor ed camp has been a challenge for all! Students have faced many fears, braving some great heights! Only a few drops of rain and very little pain! After a day of rock climbing we just completed a 5km walk down to the river and now preparing tea before dark.



15.01.2022 What a great memory back in 2018...Gosh our students have grown lots since then-a memorable experience!

14.01.2022 Our KAS Choir students are very disappointed that they can’t perform publicly this year as both the Primary Schools Music Festival and the Murray Mallee Music Festival have been cancelled. However they will be participating in the Sing! movie day next Wednesday at Wallis Cinemas Mount Barker and are very much looking forward to singing along with other choir students from around SA.

13.01.2022 What a day ! Farm Fair and the last day of Term 1. Our Ag students were very successful today winning most successful school exhibit and best wether fleece and group of three. And one of our wool handling teams coming in third. Hope you have a lovely break and we will see you all back next term!

08.01.2022 Our final primary assembly for 2020 was held today and hosted by the very capable and competent Year 1 class with the Receptions contributing some jokes and animal skits! Our 2021 preschoolers were also at school for transition today and were introduced to the students and staff and were very brave standing up in front of everyone and also sitting and listening for a long time! Well done to our individual class award winners and those that completed the Premier’s Reading Challenge too!

07.01.2022 The year 10/11 students have arrived in Adelaide and are up-skilling before they do the real thing tomorrow! Certainly challenging themselves and stepping outside of their comfort zones!

05.01.2022 SA MERINO SCHOOL WETHER COMP SUCCESS A huge congratulations to our Sheep Show Team in Adelaide today! 1 pen achieving 8th highest weight gain... 3rd most professional show team 3 students-Taylor, Max and James-were selected for handlers class (out of 210 handlers and in a heat of 21) Sounds like a great day and no doubt you will all sleep well tonight! KAS proud once again

04.01.2022 Karoonda sports students have recently been taking part in some school sports. These have included 9-a-side Football and the Woolies Cricket Blast Cup. All days... were a huge success with the girls getting a runner up in the 9-a-side and managing to win the Blast Cup against some tough opposition. Well done to all who took part in the opportunity.
