20.01.2022 NEW!! BARRE BEGINNER COURSE // Barre is a 55 minute class incorporating elements of ballet, yoga and pilates. It is a low impact workout combined with higher i...ntensity movements designed to create focus on control, activation and strengthening of the whole body. The class is set to upbeat music and is a fun and invigorating workout that can challenge coordination, balance and flexibility and be modified to suit all participants The beauty of a beginners barre class is that participants are introduced to the language, exercises, positions and flow at a steadier pace, highlighting precision of movement. The beginners classes also allow for participants to ask questions, and offer guidance on how modifications can be made to suit body type, condition, injuries and coordination. After the course, you will also receive a 1 month unlimited pass to our studio to try all of our barre, yoga and pilates classes! 13.01.2022 WE HAVE NEW CLASSES! // Since re-opening, we have received some feedback on our afternoon class times. Some people are loving the earlier 6.15pm classes which a...re only possible with a 5.20pm start, while some preferred our previous 5:30pm classes to allow a little extra time to travel from work which means changing back to 6.30pm for the following class... To make the fairest decision going forward, we have decided to take a vote. 01.01.2022 WHY PRACTISE TRIGGER BALL THERAPY? // If you suffer from a stiff back, tight hips, sore feet or neck, trigger ball therapy may be something for you to look in...to! In our busy day to day lives, we can unconsciously build up a lot of stress and tension in the body which often appears as knots, pain and tightness in certain areas When we apply pressure to the tense areas, tightness in the muscles tends to soothe and we feel a great sense of relief. Trigger ball therapy uses the ball against the body to apply specific pressure to a stiff or aching spot in a muscle by trapping it between your body and something else (the floor, a wall, another body part etc.) When used in conjunction with the breath, the ball helps us to reach and release areas that we couldn't do so with our hands.
