18.01.2022 COVID CLASSIC- AUGUST LONG WEEKEND - 1st - 2nd Entry is free 1st 2nd 3rd place prizes for Men’s, Ladies, Juniors and Poddy Mullets ... No limitations on where you can fish Entry open to all current KGFC members (all current memberships have been extended to December 31st 2020) Submit up to 3 photos of your longest Barramundi or Blue Water species for a combined length Competitors will need to collect a competition sticker and brag mat from Rod & Rifle on Thursday 30th and Friday the 31st of July. This sticker is then photographed on the KGFC brag mat with your competition fish entries. Entries to be posted to the Katherine Game Fishing Club Facebook page by Wednesday 5th August 2020. Winners announced by Friday 7th August 2020.

15.01.2022 Save the Date Katherine Game Fishing Club met on the 15th of May to decide the fate of the 2020 Big Horse Barra Classic. The committee voted to cancel BHBC 2020 and start fresh in 2021. It’s not all bad news!!! ... Instead we are going to hold the first ever Katherine Game Fishing Covid Classic!! Competition will be an online competition run on the August long weekend (1st-2nd) Competitors to submit photos of their three longest Barramundi or Blue Water species. Entry is free 1st 2nd 3rd place prizes for Men’s, Ladies, Juniors and Poddy Mullets No limitations on where you can fish Competitors will need to collect a competition sticker and brag mat from Rod & Rifle on Friday the 31st of July. This sticker is then photographed on the KGFC brag mat with your competition fish entries. Competition open to Katherine Game Fishing Club Members only. All 2019 KGFC memberships have been extended to the 31st of December 2020 at no charge

It's important to us as a club that the town gets behind all our sponsors and shows support for them. Without these guys the comp would not be possible. 12.01.2022 The Katherine Game Fishing Club committee have been monitoring the ever changing COVID - 19 situation. Due to issues from COVID-19 it is with great sadness we announce the postponement of this years 33rd Big Horse Barra Classic. The safety of competitors, the ongoing viability of the competition and the likelihood of disruption means we have to postpone the event until the Picnic Day long weekend 1st-3rd August 2020. This situation is changing rapidly and there is no guarante...e the event will run on these dates. This decision was not taken lightly and made at this time to give everyone as much time as possible to adjust and also provide teams a full refund on entry fees paid.
