25.01.2022 * F O R S A L E * Here are some more photos from my first house listing shoot. This gorgeous country home is located on the Holbrook-Wagga Road, Cookardinia NSW. its just a 50 minute drive to the centre of Albury, and it is just absolutely stunning!

24.01.2022 R E N O V A T I O N KJC Kitchen & Joinery Centre I'm currently working on a set of photos for Dave at KJC Wodonga on this amazing bathroom and ensuite renovation he has completed! Here is what I have so far! I fell in love with this bathroom the minute I walked in.

21.01.2022 * ON THE MARKET* Now again, real estate photography is not something I do on the regular, but when a someone asks, of course I won't say no! This gorgeous family home has just hit the market! 4 bed 2 bath, large living zones, and great size yard! plenty of room for the dog, boat, and man cave up the back!! ... it is located in central Wodonga close to everything!

20.01.2022 * P H O T O G R A P H E R S D A U G H T E R * being my daughter must be hard haha when mum is bored the camera comes out! "can you stand there" "nope little more that way" ... "smile" "ok not like your taking school photos" "just tilt your head toward the light " ......... "ahh just do whatever you want" haha ... "PERFECT" I find when shooting kids its easier to just let them run wild and do what they like, pull silly faces, pull grumpy faces, let them relax, you will almost never get a good "posed" photo out of a child! we had a little play today with a couple of different things :)

19.01.2022 I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of my clients who invited me to take their family photos in 2020. It has been a challenging and slow year, and with more cases of the virus still surfacing, we are far from being in the clear. Thank you all for trusting me to create these memories for you, as most of you will already know, I’m self taught and still very much learning along the way. I hope I was able to bring some joy into your homes in what has been a crappy... and sad year!! I hope 2021 holds lots of new learning opportunities for me to grow as a photographer, and I can’t wait to see all of my returning clients & meet all of my new ones. While my bookings are now open for 2021, availability will be minimal the first couple of months due to the waiting list I had for family sessions, & also a pre booked wedding or two (how exciting ) I’m still trying to take a rest this next week or two, but replies to messages won’t be far away. 15.01.2022 I'm missing taking advantage of this awesome weather to get out and shoot! and with the added uncertainty of when we will be able to get back to some kind of normal! of course I haven't been able to get out and shoot any families at the moment, so I'm going to keep sharing shoots and photos that may not have been shared, to keep the interaction going! 13.01.2022 Hey all! Just checking in, its been a minute! I have been quiet on my socials, as I haven’t been doing much shooting. Lockdown 6.0 here we are!! I think this one has hit people the hardest! ... I am fortunate enough to have an essential job outside of my photography and i can still go to work, but for many small business in our region, that isn’t the case! I want to send big love to everyone, especially those who have had to close their doors due to these continued lockdowns. It has taken a massive mental and financial toll on so many. I have struggled of late mentally myself to focus on positives & keep pushing through, I know this is how so many are feeling. So please check on your mates, your neighbour, your family and loved ones! Sometimes its hard to say i am not ok .. we are all in this together! I am looking forward to being back behind the camera again... I enjoy these amazing moments with my beautiful clients! Thank you all for bringing me light with your smiles, see you all soon! Kat xx

03.01.2022 * B A B Y * I have been so super busy these past few weeks I haven't even had time to sit down at my computer and share some of my faves from this gorgeous Bub I shot in home pre covid restrictions!! He definitely put a smile on my face

02.01.2022 Had a little bit of fun yesterday with my mini model. Outfit thanks to her mums wardrobe 2020 got me a little flat, it was mentally & physically draining for many reasons. I’m still by far on my L plates when it comes to my photography, and even though last year again taught me a lot, I still have a very long journey ahead. ... I was super hard on myself, every shoot I did I would constantly pick at it. It wasn’t good enough for me, I wanted more, better.. I found myself being afraid of everything before a shoot, lighting, weather, location, is it too sunny, is there going to be too much glare, is there not enough light... everything! I believe half of this was just coming from being physically and mentally exhausted too. I am a mum, a partner and a nurse outside of doing photography, and sometimes I forget to take a break, but I was also finding myself constantly comparing myself to others, and their work, and telling myself I didn’t stack up! there have been other photographers, local and not, that have helped me in one way or another, with awesome advice or just answering questions, ( and thank you ladies I’m sure you know who you are) and there have been others who i may have reached out to that were... well, less than willing to help, and that’s ok (I guess that’s the industry) & I guess I never see myself as a threat. I was constantly putting my own work down, and forgetting to tell myself that my work is unique, I’m 100% self taught & I’m still learning! And that being said I think I do ok! so I’ve given myself this first month of the year to slow down, finish off edits from the Xmas period, and also focus on a couple of weddings coming up... mostly though just give myself the mental break i needed. im looking forward to seeking out new learning opportunities for myself this year, to better my photography, and want to say a huge thank you to all of my clients and friends for their ongoing support always, you’re the best! bring on 2021 I’m excited for all of my future shoots xx p.s. I am finishing some client edits today and I am contactable today via email or personal message for any Booking queries. Xx

01.01.2022 Big thank you to Jesse from Hold The Dog Photography for inviting me to tag along today while he filmed Barry Chambers in action. Jesse is working on a filming project with Barry and I'm super excited to head along for another session with these two, and can't wait to see the finished product! I didn't go along today to take photos but I did have the camera so I took a couple anyway. I was there today to simply watch Barry at work with his horses, and learn a thing or two.

29.12.2021 W I N T E R S E S S I O N S I love the winter tones! While I’m not really back shooting my normal crazy amount, actually hardly shooting at all, i have snuck in a few! Thank you to this gorgeous fam for inviting me out to take some snaps on a very crisp winters day! Loved it! ... I’ts been super hard to fit in any bookings right now, as most of you know i work as a nurse & it’s a very busy time for nurses everywhere! So I am responding to your messages as quickly as i can, and I’m super sorry if I can’t fit you in for a little while for shoots! I am not currently taking any wedding bookings, as I don’t normally do weddings, i just snuck a few odd ones in. I also won’t be doing any events at the moment either! I’m trying super hard to stick to family sessions only! I will be doing some dates before we reach the end of the year again, but wont be shooting too much over Christmas, as last year i was shooting Xmas eve, Boxing Day, and every day in between, and it’s taken me 6 months to catch back up! We also bought a house and moved with everything else on top in this time! This landed me in a state of exhaustion! So once i have dates available over the next few months, they will be the ones to snap up! I will post date updates as they come available! Also keep an eye out on my instagram! Stay warm, Kat xx

22.11.2021 I wanted to get in early to say a huge HAPPY MOTHERS DAY for this Sunday, to all of the selfless, hardworking, amazing, beautiful mums out there! Our job isnt always easy, and sometimes very thankless, but it’s the best job we will ever have! I hope you all enjoy your day this weekend with your families. secondly I wanted to apologise to those clients who may have been waiting for my usual Mother’s Day mini offer this year. unfortunately I have had a rough few months (and he...re we are almost in the middle of the year) but my body has been telling me I still need to rest & not try and do it all.
