23.01.2022 I couldn’t be more proud of my crew and the teamwork they displayed to rally together in the worst situation we have ever faced. On the front lines in South Nowra and in the face of adversity my crew and the entirety of ‘Strike Team Golf’ encountered unprecedented fire weather conditions. Our teamwork, training, equipment and our Incident action plan got us all out safely... not a single injury. Huge credit to the other 16 members of Strike Team Golf for your professionalism... and determination to never give up on each other. Also a big thanks needs to be said for the massive support from Fire & Rescue NSW for the immediate and ongoing support to all members involved, I am proud to be part of the extended FRNSW family. In these tough times we all still think of the crews out there around the clock, continuing to protect the irreplaceable, working in extreme conditions to keep communities and one another safe. 02.01.2022 This week myself and my crew from our South Nowra burnover incident had the honour of being invited to attend the Fire Fight Australia Concert and to briefly share our experience with Kochie & Sam from @sunriseon7 . To see the overwhelming support from so many proud Australians as well as people around the world was truly touching.... and the amount of money raised to help those affected by the bushfires was staggering!! Thank you also needs to be said to those rarely mentio...ned, yet contribute an invaluable amount of effort and resources to the community in these difficult times. Thank you; @nswpolice , @nswambulance , International firefighting teams, Council road crews, @nswses , @marinerescuensw , volunteer wildlife groups, evacuation centre staff, members of the community providing food, children from day care centres sending hand drawn cards.... and the list goes on!
