24.01.2022 This month we have been having a lot of fun. We've been playing dress ups, putting on puppet shows, and doing lots of painting and drawing. We have had a tea party, built a cubby, played play dough, and heaps more. The kids have been enjoying playing and learning with their friends at daycare. 5 star family day care, a home away from home.
23.01.2022 In the past month at Day care we have been doing lots of fun activities with a few new additions to our group. The children have been wonderful at welcoming Wren, Avarli, Matilda and Abby-Lea into our day care, and the girls have all settled in very well. Activities such as yoga, water play, painting, karaoke and bowling have all been enjoyed by the children (and myself), especially yoga. We were all cracking up!... We have had three birthdays so far this month. Jasper, Imogen and Lachlan have all had their own birthday parties, with Wrens soon to come.
16.01.2022 When you first have children they talk about the challenges of parenting....the struggles of a baby waking in the night, the toddler who won’t stay in their bed..., the cost of childcare, injuries from sports... Having to take off work to pick them up from school when they don’t feel well, helping them with homework, a messy house, the never ending laundry, the cost to buy school clothes, packing their lunches.... You watch their eyes light up on Christmas morning....and try to soak in the magic of those moments. You coach them in sports, rushing to practices and ballgames...and tote them all over the country to let them play the game they love...no matter how exhausting or expensive it becomes. Life is just so busy that you rarely even stop to think what the end of those days look like. In fact, it’s not really even something you can wrap your mind around. You go into it thinking that 18-20 years sounds like a long time.... Then suddenly hours turn into days...days into months...and months into years. That little person that used to crawl up next to you in bed and cuddle up to watch cartoons...suddenly becomes this young adult who hugs you in the hallway as they come and go. And the chaos and laughter that used to echo throughout your home....gets filled with silence and solitude. You’ve learned how to parent a child who needs you to care for and protect them....but have no clue how the whole letting go thing is supposed to work. So you hold on as tight as you can...wondering how time passed so quickly...feeling guilty that you missed something.... Because even though you had 20 years.....it just somehow doesn’t seem like it was enough. You ask yourself so many questions... Did you teach them the right lessons? Did you read them enough books as a child? Spend enough time playing with them? How many school parties did you have to miss? Do they really know how much you love them? What could I have done better as a parent? .....When it’s time for them to go, it all hits you like a ton of bricks. And all you can do is pray....hope....and trust that God will protect them as they start to make their way into the world alone. Parenting is by far the most amazing experience of your life....that at times leaves you exhilarated....while others leave you heartbroken. But one thing is certain.....it’s never enough time... So for all the parents with young children...who’s days are spent trying to figure out how to make it through the madness... Exhausted day in and day out... Soak. It. All. In. Because one day....all those crazy days full of cartoons, snuggles, sleep overs, Christmas morning magic, ballgames, practices and late night dinners... All come to an end. And you’re left hoping that you did enough right, so that when they spread their wings.... They’ll fly... credit ; Misty Brewer Lee
14.01.2022 Well what a busy few months we have had. The children have made some great Christmas decorations and gifts for their parents, plus we have had extra school aged children coming over the Christmas break. The holidays are all but over and we will be farewelling some children that are off to start a new chapter in their life. Goodbye and good luck to Mylah, Callum and Chaise, we will miss you very much. This year we will welcome a few new little ones to our Daycare. With the weather being quite hot over the past few weeks we have been cooling off a lot on the Slip n Slide and in the splash pool.
13.01.2022 All children just love to dress up
13.01.2022 Wow, how fast the first half of this year has gone! It seems like Christmas has just gone by, then the next minute it was Easter, Mothers day, school holidays, and soon it will be June. The children and I have been so busy making Easter cards & gifts for Mums & Dads and Mothers day presents. We have celebrated Avarli, Tanner and Baileys birthdays in the last few months. We recently went on an excursion to the Karuah skate park, which the kids loved, plus it was great exercise. It was nice to get out and make use of the good weather we are having before it gets too cold.
11.01.2022 Over the past few weeks the children and I have been busy making some excellent Captain America shields, some pizzas, slap bands, finger paintings, roller paintings, Peppa pig paintings, playing dress ups and having a birthday party for Vinni's first birthday.
11.01.2022 Well another year has ended and a new one has begun. First lets say goodbye and good luck to Seth, Bailey and Imogen, all started their new adventure at big school. As some of our little ones have picked up extra days this year we are only welcoming one new boy named Levi, we hope he settles in quickly and enjoys his time at day care. The children were very busy over the few months leading up to Christmas, making some gift boxes and decorations for Mums and Dads. ... We had a fantastic farewell party for the children off to Kindy. The children danced, played limbo, slid down the slip n slide, and had lots of fun with their friends. We are off to the new year with a very big and productive few months, doing lots of arts and crafts, Cosmic yoga, cooking ect. Outdoor water play always helps us to cool off on the hot days, and the kids seem to enjoy it every time. We have been doing lots of fun activities in the first two months of 2020 and hope to have as much fun this year as we did last year!
10.01.2022 Kids just being Kids and having fun
09.01.2022 At daycare this month we have all been very busy playing outside in the sandpit and the splash pool, making lots of amazing artworks, and having a lot of fun. We have been going on a lot of walks around the block recently to have a look at Seths new house being built, as well as Eedie and Avarli's. How exciting! The children have all been very creative lately. They have made spiders using paint and a marble, bracelets out of toilet paper rolls and fake jewells, as well as heaps of great paintings. I have also been trying to improve my daycare centre for the kids by getting my son in law to make some activity boards for us. He is very handy and the kids love them. I also have a new tent and gazebo out the back for the sandpit and splash pool.
05.01.2022 In the past few months, the children have made some tye-dyed shirts, bags and headbands. They have made some Pineapples in arts & crafts, as well as doing gymnastics. They made some excellent snakes and learnt some interesting and important facts about them. They also put on a puppet show!
03.01.2022 Over the past few weeks the children have been busy at play, cooking, painting, cutting and gluing ,but they have been busy learning lots of skills at the same time. Through play they have been using their imagination skills, communication skills, gross motor skills, building friendships and much more.
01.01.2022 Once again we have been very busy over the past few months with Fathers Day. Just recently, the children made some great gifts and cards for their Dad. The kids always enjoy playing with the new shopping centre, dress ups and the puppet show.
