25.01.2022 Next team member to meet: THE RED HORSE I really enjoyed having my little OTTB on the team in 2013-2015. Race name- Gondoliar’s Star, stable name Red but was better known as the red horse or Ranga. ... He was off the track and came with his quirks but he was SO sweet to have around especially with Kieran and he loved to jump! Steering and brakes were little to be desired at first but the good times out weighed the hairy times by far. He loved his job whatever it was. He was beautiful in the dressage arena and surprisingly very chill on the cross country course but he spent most of his time competing in jumping with me. It was always intended for him to be sold on once I felt he was going well. After a short time together he was ready and I sold him on the a lovely home where he unfortunately had an accident in the paddock and crossed the rainbow bridge I really enjoyed my time with this little dude. I hope to find another one with his talent some day. Miss his cuddles but am grateful to know what they felt like. #ottb #ottbsofinstagram #showjumping #showjumpinghorse @kc_riding

25.01.2022 Bit of a delay on my series to meet some of the beautiful horses I’ve had the pleasure of having in my life. A very busy two weeks teaching in the school holidays. Meet Emmaville Maximus aka Max. My first, and one of my favourites that I had the privilege of campaigning for an awesome lady and friend. We took him to his first ever show, jumping around the 75cm at Bega Cup in 2015 after only one test run at our local jump club the weekend before we went to see how he would be... like out. Max worked his way up easily to 1.20m going to many different shows along side his best bud Leo He is a very talented jumper with plenty of scope. He is just an absolute gem to have out and so quiet anywhere he goes. Very proud of how far this horse and I were able to go together but even more proud that his owner/ real mum @fink_gretel has taken over the reins full time and hoping to get out and compete themselves. Stay tuned as you’ll see him and his owner pop up in ‘proud as punch’ post when they are out and about. #meettheteam #thedreamteam #showjumpinghorse #showjumper @kc_riding @fink_gretel

24.01.2022 KC Riding has had a very exciting weekend with welcoming Harry permanently into the team. We also had a move! Bit exhausted but both horses very happy at their new home and loving the big grassy paddocks! I am super excited to announce I have teamed up with Vellara Equine and will be their in house instructor and will now be offering lessons at their awesome facilities. If you are wanting regular lessons or occasional touch ups get in contact and take advantage of their ful...ly set up jumping arena and beautiful indoor arena!! SCHOOL HOLIDAYS I will be available for extra lessons during the day over the school holiday period, from the 2nd to the 16th of April. (Travel to you option is still available)

22.01.2022 MY GREATEST TEACHER It wasn’t long after getting Bart I found another friend to join the team 2007- Leo aka Emmaville DiCaprio. Leo was a retired/failed police horse before coming to the Emmaville Performance stables for schooling. There I was the one to work with him and madly fall in love... lucky for me I got to buy him. ... He hadn’t done much before we started. Jumping a cross rail proved to be hairy! He was wild at heart and a free spirit. I was use to riding all kinds of horses but this one sure did teach me a lot about patience, having an open mind and empathy. I had all the time in the world for this guy and so glad I did. What a horse he soon turned into. Starting out right at the basics with a wild spirit working together all the way up to a horse I could do anything on and trust with all my heart. We went from to jumping mini Prix, a horse that didn’t trust anyone or anything to a horse that never let me down. He was fearless in the showjumping arena and on the cross country course. I am so proud of what we achieved together and so grateful for this horse to let me learn how to teach a horse. I never doubted we wouldn’t make it but still to this day can’t believe how far we actually got. Not many believed in him at first but then soon was a favourite for many out on the show circuit. I’ll never forget many peoples kind words said about him. I was able to call him my MVP for 10 years until he grow his wings and in that time while it still brings a tear to my eye 3 years on I know he had a beautiful life, was treated like a king and was loved so much by my little family. What makes this horse so special apart from the career we had together it was the way he interacted with my son. There are way too many words and pictures for one post. Stay tuned for the post about the adventures of Leo and Kieran. #forevermybestmate #emmavilledicaprio #ahorsetoremember #horseprofiles #teamkcriding

20.01.2022 ONE OF MY FAVOURITES Maggie, Blackall Park Elusive Maggie was the third member of the team. She was the sweetest little thing! I was so excited to have my own Daley K mare ... After working with breakers for a few years I decided to take on one of my own. Maggie had a handful of rides before I had a sit on and fell in love. She had exceptional movement and was so willing to learn. Within the first year and a half together we were out competing elementary dressage with scores consistently around 70%+. Her true love was dressage but she was also a little gun at jumping. Going from little baby jumps up to 1.10m tracks together. She had a great jump, sharp in front and super careful. Maggie gave me a lot of confidence in my riding and my ability to work with horses. I have a lot to thank her for. After a couple years of enjoying her talents the decision to sell her on was made. I must admit, still to this day I wish I had kept her but she only grew to 15.1 and I decided to move her on to a smaller rider that continued to have a great time with her. She is now a proud mumma and living a happy life. #blackallpark #daleyk #showjumping #dressage #horseprofiles @kc_riding

16.01.2022 THE HORSE THAT STARTED IT ALL Bart aka Jumanji was my first competition horse. I was lucky enough to start on a super little grey mare name Lucy but she was never intended to be my horse, she was bought for my brother but she taught me enough until I found my own unicorn This is my heart horse. An educated 16yo TB. He is perfect in every way and I have so many beautiful memories with this guy.... He took me from jumping 90cm to competitively jumping around younger riders- 1.35m tracks in a very short time. We also competed in every discipline we could get our hands on, he was so willing and versatile. My greatest memory aside from just his beautiful personality are; Being in the ACT younger rider team at state champs and jumping around clear. Riding in the B&C grade at Canberra Royal Starting in my first Ag show Grand Prix. And Finishing the every course for me whether I was on board or not My most special memory was watching my son ride him He is 30 years old this year and happily retired at a friends property getting spoilt just as he deserves. I rarely pass up an old sole because of this horse. I took a wise step purchasing an older been there, done that horse to start on and can not believe how far we went together. Look after them well and they’ll look after you for many years. He worked sound and healthy right up until he was 25. A horse every girl deserves and I am so grateful for everything he did for me and to still have him in my life today.

16.01.2022 COACH AND RIDER PROFILE Devotion, determination and dedication all have been driving me forward since I was very young. While I was not on horse back until I was 13 years old I was hard at work unknowingly learning what it takes to become an equestrian, as a gymnast at the AIS. 37 hours a week of training on top of school meant I was use to early starts, long days, no weekends and hard work. It was only normal for me to transition into the world of horses when I fell in love ...with the four legged friends in 2003. I had my very first sit on a horse when I was 13. This moved on to weekly lessons at Forest Park Riding School when I was 14 and started volunteering of a weekend. Over time I became a weekend staff member, taking out the general trail rides and teaching Little League lessons for child under 7 years of age. Soon after I was lucky enough to get my first horse. After I finished school I started as a full time groom and rider for Grant Hughes in 2008. I gained so much knowledge and grow stronger as a rider. I was very fortunate to travel to so many shows across NSW, QLD and SA. The dream was being able to ride so many horses every day from Grand Prix jumpers, to starting breakers and giving them their first rides and everything in between. Over the years I continued instructing and was now teaching all levels and ages from Little League to the advanced jump lessons. By now I had 3 of my own horses in full work and out competing with them. I stepped away from grooming and started as a full time instructor in 2011 and became heavily involved in assisting running the school. Many years in the school meant growing my knowledge in correct safety practices and procedures , horse and rider safety, well-being for all involved and horse and rider enjoyment. I grew practical skills in developing achievable short and long term goals and improving the horse and riders ability. My years riding and training horses for work and my own horses has given me an advantage in my coaching by giving me experience with many different types, discipline, personalities and behaviours. My main focus is to provide a safe and enjoyable lesson to all horses and riders and always keep the horses well-being as a priority. I am very excited that it has come time for me to leave he nest and start my own coaching business. If you are looking for private lessons or interested in trying out one of our clinics don’t hesitate to contact me. I deeply enjoy sharing my love and knowledge of all things horsey. Stay tuned for horse profiles to get to know me and some of my beautiful team mates.
