02.01.2022 STUDIO 2166 recently had seven monastic Sangha all the way from the Indian Himalayan region of Sikkim, India, use their recording facilities. . All Tibetan l...amas undergo many years of monastic training and are well versed in all aspects of Buddhist teachings and rituals. For these reasons, they were invited to participate in the recording of Buddhist chants for the lay practitioners in #Studio2166. Over 3 days, with the assistance from staff members, Chris and Michael, the monks performed with their musical instruments and recorded all the essential chants for the daily practice of Tibetan Buddhist practitioners. The lay Buddhist community can now listen, follow the chant and carry out their own practice from home! . We thank the monks for their visit and our Heritage Librarian, Gialy, for all her hard work!
